We have heard your cry and we join with you before the throne of grace in this urgent time of need for you and your family, and we lift up your desire for provision and for wisdom for work and business.
We understand the weight of feeling that time has run out and that your family desperately needs income right now. In that place of anxiety, we are reminded that our Father knows what we need even before we ask, and He is faithful to provide for His children. As it is written, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19, and But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. Even when we feel we have come to the end of our own resources, God has not, for He declares, I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread Psalm 37:25.
We also notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why this is so important to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. We have heard your earnest cry concerning your need for provision and for wisdom in business, and we have brought it before the Lord with you.
You feel that time has run out and that your family stands in great need, and this is a heavy burden. The Scripture reminds us that wisdom is the compass by which a man is to steer across the trackless waste of life, and without it we are as those who run here and there wasting strength which might be profitably employed. You ask rightly for an idea, for direction, for that wisdom whose price is above rubies and which cannot be valued with pure gold. Where then shall wisdom be found. It is found in Christ, for Christ personally is the power of God and the wisdom of God. He planned the way of salvation and He laid the foundations of all true wisdom, and He will be wisdom to those who seek Him.
We would urge you in this urgent necessity to seek the Lord Himself first of all. To make your business to be your Father's business is the true way of blessing. If you make your own business God's business, you will do your business well and you will be useful in your day and generation. That is, to commit your way unto Him, to ask not only for an idea that may bring income, but for a path that is consistent with the truth of God and righteousness and the glory of God, and then to walk therein as one who is guided by the Holy Spirit, not as one who is his own guide but as a disciple who takes Christ to be his wisdom.
We do not know what the Lord will provide today or in the days to come, for His way is high above our judgment, and what He does is always best. Yet we know He is the Father who has entered into covenant to preserve His people, and He knows the needs of your household. He who warmed the heart of one who had no fire for his little family with the word All things are yours, knows your want and is able to supply it.
Let us pray together for you and your family.
O Lord our God, Thou art wisdom and the giver of wisdom, and with Thee is no want of goodness or love. Look in mercy upon this family in their need. Thou knowest their straits and the urgency that presses upon them. Grant unto our brother wisdom from above, clear thought, honest counsel, and an open door for provision that is honourable in Thy sight. Give him skill for labour and integrity in all business, that whatsoever he does he may do it as unto Thee. Provide for his household according to Thy gracious will, and give him and those he loves a quiet trust in Thy fatherly care. Lead him not by his own understanding alone, but by Thy Spirit taking of the things of Christ and revealing them to him.
