Summary (due to privacy): Prayer request related to employment or work situation.

We join together with you in bringing your employment and financial needs before our Heavenly Father, for we know He cares deeply about every detail of our lives and He sees your need for provision.

We are reminded in scripture that God is our provider and that He calls us to trust Him while also walking in diligence. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. We are also taught not to be anxious but to seek Him first, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:32-33. Work itself is honorable before God, for whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men Colossians 3:23, and we are encouraged to be faithful and diligent as we look for the open door He will provide.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. To have this access we must believe in our hearts that Jesus died for our sins and that God raised Him from the dead, and confess Him as Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. We encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus both for your eternal salvation and for your daily needs.

We now pray together for you. Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You know the need for a job and a steady source of income, and You know the burden this waiting has placed on the heart. We ask that You would open the right door of employment soon, according to Your perfect will and timing, and provide work that allows for honest labor, provision, and the opportunity to glorify You. Grant wisdom and favor in every application and interview, give peace to guard the heart from worry, and help to trust in Your faithful provision day by day. Lead to a position where gifts can be used well and where You will be honored. We ask all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him in prayer each day in Jesus name, to be diligent in looking and applying and using the skills He has given you, and to trust that He is working even when you cannot yet see the answer. Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7, and be confident that He who has promised to supply your needs will be faithful.

Thank you for trusting us with this request about work. We know how heavy it can feel to wait for a job and wonder how provision will come, and we are grateful you reached out so we can pray with you.

In this kind of season we often see two pressures at once. One is the practical strain of bills and daily needs. The other is the quiet question of identity, as if worth rises and falls with a paycheck. Your worth before God is not measured by employment, even though meaningful work matters deeply. Holding onto that distinction can bring a little more steadiness while you search.

A step that often helps is to name the most immediate pressure point for this week or month, whether it is rent, utilities, or groceries, and talk it through with a trusted pastor, family member or friend to consider options together. It also helps to let a few people in your church or community know specifically what kind of work you are looking for, so they can listen for openings and connect you. A local workforce center or church employment ministry can often help with applications and contacts as well.

We are praying for you and will continue to.

Father, we lift this need to You and ask for Your provision and clear direction in the search for work. Give wisdom for each application and conversation, peace in the waiting, and daily bread for each need. Open the right door in Your timing and sustain through this season. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request concerning employment has been brought before the Lord and we have remembered you in prayer with sincere sympathy.

We know the trial of waiting upon Providence for daily bread, and how the heart is tempted to grow weary when the door of labour seems closed. You do well to cast your care upon Him who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows, and who has promised that bread shall be given and water shall be sure to those that trust Him. It is never wise to dispute with God, but it is always wise to draw near to Him in childlike confidence even when He seems to frown, for He hears the cry of His children.

Take comfort from the example of Job, of whom it is written, In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. He lost estate and honour and yet he fell down upon the ground and worshipped. He was brought very low, and afterward the Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed. So shall our longest sorrows have a close when God has gotten His end in them, and the night shall not hang its darkness forever over the soul. Though your glory may seem faded for a season, He who renewed Job and gave him twice as much as he had before is able to open a way of honest work and sufficient provision for you according to His perfect wisdom.

Let us pray together. O Lord our heavenly Father, we thank Thee that Thou art our Provider and that every good gift cometh from Thy hand. Look in mercy upon this Thy servant who seeks employment and a source of income. In Thy good time and according to Thy will, open a door of labour where gifts may be used with diligence and integrity to Thy glory. Grant patience in waiting, humility to receive Thy will, and faith to trust Thy goodness. Keep this soul from casting off fear and restraining prayer, but give a more vivid apprehension of Thyself, that even in need there may be worship and contentment in Christ. Provide what is needed for daily bread, and above all give grace to seek first Thy kingdom. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom alone is salvation, Amen.

Continue steadfast in prayer and in diligent seeking, trusting the Lord to direct your steps. We will continue to bear you up before the throne.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request concerning work and the need for income has been heard, and we bring it before the Lord with you.

We know that need weighs heavily on the heart, and God does not overlook it. He who fed the multitudes in the wilderness when their provisions had failed, and who clothes the lilies and feeds the birds, knows what you need before you ask. At the same time He has taught us that labor is honorable and that we are to work with quiet diligence, providing for our households and having something to share with those in need.

So we pray for you now. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask You to open a door for honest and fruitful work for this Your servant. Grant provision for daily needs, wisdom to seek opportunity, strength to labor faithfully, and peace while waiting on Your timing. Keep this heart from anxiety and from despair, and lead to a place where gifts can be used well for Your glory and for the good of others. Provide not only income but purposeful work done with integrity. We ask for Your guidance to each step and for contentment to trust Your fatherly care.

Continue to seek Him, to be diligent in what your hands find to do, and to walk in faithfulness. The Lord is faithful to provide what is needful, and He often does so as we walk in obedience and patience. We will continue to remember you in prayer that God will soon supply what you need and establish the work of your hands.

Thank you for sharing this need and allowing prayer for you in this season of waiting for work and income. Your request is deeply human and timeless. Long ago the Scriptures gave us the story of a man who lost almost everything he had, his possessions and his livelihood, and who sat without understanding why. That book is counted among the poetry books of the Bible and is considered one of the oldest pieces of literature we have, perhaps from the time of Abraham. Cultures have changed greatly since then, yet the same basic problems and the same deep needs of the heart remain, and that story still speaks to us.

What the Bible shows us behind the scenes is that the Lord knew that man intimately and even testified of his integrity, that he sought to honor God and turn from evil. An adversary had been watching him closely, studying him, and argued that any person would serve God only while surrounded by blessing and protection, as if God had placed a hedge around him. The adversary was permitted to take away those outward blessings, and so loss came not as a simple measure of that man's guilt, but within the sovereign knowledge and permission of God.

This helps us when we face financial pressure. It is easy for others, and even for our own hearts, to assume that lack of work must mean God is displeased or that something is seriously wrong with us. The friends who came to comfort that suffering man made that very mistake, telling him he must be hiding sin and urging him to get right with God so things would go well again. In the end God showed that their counsel was misguided. We can hold firmly to this truth that God is fair and just, and we can also trust that He is at work even when it appears He has withdrawn or forgotten us.

Much of what was said in that deep grief was the cry of a hurting heart, not settled doctrine about God or about life after death. Scripture faithfully records those cries so that those who come later might find comfort, knowing that God hears honest grief and remains present through it. That man longed for someone to stand between himself and God, to lay a hand upon both, and the answer to that longing is Jesus Christ, who alone brings us to God and stands as our mediator.

So we pray for you now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus we bring this need for work and provision before You. You see this situation fully and You know the burden of providing for daily needs. We ask that You open a door for suitable and honest work, and that You supply what is needed day by day while waiting. Give peace to the heart and mind, guard against fear and shame, and help to trust Your character and Your care. Where there is discouragement, bring strength, and where there is confusion, bring wisdom to take the next faithful step. Help to rest in the work of Christ who has made a way to You, and to know that Your love is not measured by outward circumstances. We ask that what You provide will also be a place to serve You well and to be a blessing to others. Amen.

May the Lord keep you close as you wait, and may you see His faithful hand both in His provision and in His presence with you each day.

I recently left my job for certain reasons but need income immediately so I returned to another job that, although I am very grateful for it and the people who work there and how it has sustained me, is involved in things that I don't agree with as a Christian and I feel convicted being involved...
