Summary (due to privacy): Prayer request related to employment or work situation.

Thank you for sharing this need and allowing us to pray with you. Waiting for work can bring real pressure and uncertainty, and it is right to bring that burden to the Lord and ask Him to provide.

The story of Job speaks to seasons like this. Cultures and times have changed since his day, but the deep questions and needs people feel remain much the same. Job was a man whom God Himself commended, yet he faced great loss. Before any of that happened there was a conversation in heaven that Job could not see. The adversary had been watching Job closely and claimed that Job only trusted God because God had blessed him and placed a hedge of protection around him. God permitted that hedge to be tested for a time, but He remained in control and set limits on what could happen.

What is comforting is that God was at work even when to Job it felt as though God had turned away. That same truth holds for you now. A delay or a closed door in employment is not necessarily a sign that you have done something wrong or that God is displeased with you. Job's friends made that mistake. They insisted he must be suffering because he had sinned and told him to simply get right with God and everything would be fixed. In the end God corrected them. Their counsel only added confusion and pain, and they were called miserable comforters.

Job himself did not fully understand what was happening and spoke from his grief about things he could not comprehend. God later gently rebuked him for speaking about matters beyond his understanding, and when God revealed Himself, Job humbled himself. That reminds us that we also do not always understand God's ways while we wait, and we can trust Him to be wise and just even when we cannot see the whole picture.

Your need for provision is real, and God knows it. Through Jesus Christ He has met our deepest need for reconciliation with God, and He also cares for our daily needs. Job once cried out for someone to stand between God and man, to lay a hand on both. That cry is answered in Jesus, who brings us to God and intercedes for us. You can come to the Father through Him with confidence.

We are praying for you that God will open the right door for work soon, that He will give you peace while you wait, wisdom in each step and application, and assurance that He has not forgotten you. May He guide you to a place where you can provide for your needs and use the gifts He has given you for His glory.

Father, we lift up this dear one to You. You see the need for a job and the weight of waiting. We ask that You provide work in Your timing and according to Your wisdom, that You would give strength, clarity, and peace each day, and that You would be known as the faithful provider. Draw this heart closer to You through Jesus Christ and meet every need according to Your goodness. In Jesus name, Amen.
