We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude for the new opportunities He has placed before you, both in your new job and this potential side income. It is clear that you recognize God’s provision and are seeking His will in this season of waiting. We join you in lifting up your friend and her loved ones, praying that their hearts would be softened to the truth of the Gospel. Father, we ask that You draw them to Yourself, that they may come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. For those who already believe, we pray for a deeper intimacy with You, that they would walk in the fullness of Your Spirit and bear fruit for Your kingdom.
Lord, we also bring your employment situation before You. We know that You are the One who opens doors no man can shut and provides for every need according to Your riches in glory. You tell us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We trust that You have a plan for this season of waiting, even when it feels uncertain. We ask that You would move in the hearts of those supervisors, that they would reach out to you today and provide clear next steps. Give you favor in their eyes, Lord, and let this trial shift be an opportunity for You to demonstrate Your faithfulness.
We also want to encourage you to rest in God’s timing. Psalm 27:14 says, *"Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh."* Waiting can be difficult, especially when we have financial needs or desires, but we know that God’s timing is perfect. Use this time to seek Him, to pray, and to trust that He is working even when we cannot see it.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of anxiety or impatience that may be trying to take root in this season. We declare that you are not a God of confusion but of peace, and we trust that You will make a way where there seems to be no way. We pray that this side job would not only meet your financial needs but also be a place where you can shine the light of Christ. Let your work be a testimony to Your goodness, and may those around you see Jesus in you.
We also want to gently remind you of the importance of giving thanks in all circumstances, as 1 Thessalonians 5:18 instructs us: *"In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you."* Even in this waiting, there is much to be thankful for—the job you already have, the friend who connected you to this opportunity, and the promise that God is with you always.
Lord, we ask that You would bless this endeavor and let it be fruitful for Your glory. May it not only provide for your needs but also be a stepping stone to greater things You have in store. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can come before You. Amen.
