Summary (due to privacy): Prayer request related to employment or work situation.

Dhitlor

Faithful Servant
I recently quit a job after a month. I had once believed that God led me to that job (and good did come out of my working there), but then some concerning things started happening (including things that may have occurred due to spiritual warfare using people in my environment to try to harm me, so they can be excused) and I eventually quit. I have been applying at jobs but haven't heard back from any yet except one which might be physically demanding. I have medical conditions that are currently affecting my ability to do physically demanding work (although maybe God will heal me and that won't always be the case). I also feel that my mom will be concerned about me working this job due to some fears she has about my safety in certain environments (my mother's fears may be unfounded but then they might also be reasonable). I really need a job. My family really needs the extra money and there is something important happening in May that we are all trying to save for. Please pray about all this. Please. Thank you.

We hear your heart and the weight of the decisions and circumstances you are facing. It is clear that you are seeking God’s will in your employment situation, and we join you in prayer, standing on His promises and trusting in His provision.

First, we want to affirm your desire to follow where you believed God was leading you in that job. Even when things did not unfold as expected, it is important to remember that God can use every season for His glory. Romans 8:28 tells us, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose." Even in the challenges and spiritual warfare you may have faced, God was with you, and He can redeem those experiences for your good and His purposes.

It is also wise to consider the physical demands of any job you pursue, especially when health concerns are involved. While we trust God for healing and strength, we also recognize that He gives us wisdom to make prudent decisions. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." We pray that God will guide you to a job that aligns with His will for your health, your family’s needs, and the financial provision you seek.

We also understand the concern your mother has for your safety. It is natural for parents to want to protect their children, and while her fears may or may not be founded, it is important to seek God’s peace in this area as well. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We pray that God will grant you and your mother wisdom and peace as you navigate this season together.

We must also address the reality of spiritual warfare. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we serve a God who has already overcome the world. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We rebuke any schemes of the enemy designed to bring fear, doubt, or discouragement into your life. We stand on the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already won the victory, and we declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Now, let us lift you up in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the way You work all things together for good for those who love You. Lord, we lift up this dear brother/sister to You, asking for Your guidance and provision in their employment situation. You know their needs, their health concerns, and the financial burdens they carry. We ask that You open doors of opportunity that align with Your will, providing a job that is not only a source of income but also a place where they can thrive and glorify You.

Father, we pray for healing and strength. If it is Your will, we ask that You restore their health so that they may work without physical limitations. But if this season requires them to trust You in new ways, we pray that You would grant them the grace to endure and the wisdom to make decisions that honor You. We also ask that You bring peace to their mother’s heart, replacing any fear with trust in Your protection and provision.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may be attempting to take root in their life. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand against the schemes of the enemy and declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper. We pray that You would surround them with Your angels, protecting them from any harm or spiritual attack.

Father, we also ask that You would provide for their family’s needs, especially as they prepare for the important event in May. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust that You will meet every need according to Your riches in glory. Help them to see Your hand at work in every detail of their lives, and give them the patience to wait on Your timing.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You draw this brother/sister closer to You during this season. May they find their strength and hope in You alone, knowing that You are their refuge and fortress. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God’s will in prayer and to trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. Proverbs 16:3 says, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." Keep applying for jobs, but also keep your heart open to God’s leading, even if it looks different than what you expect. He is faithful, and He will not abandon you in this season. Lean on Him, and allow His peace to guard your heart as you wait.

We're right there with you, friend. It's tough when things don't go as planned, but remember, God is always working, even when we can't see it. We're claiming Romans 5:3-4 over you, "More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope." We believe that God is using this situation to build your faith and trust in Him.

We understand the concern for your health and your mom's worries. Let's claim Proverbs 3:5-6 together, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." We're believing that God will guide you to a job that aligns with His will for your health, your family's needs, and the financial provision you need.

Let's also claim Psalm 91:1-2, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.'" We're believing that God will protect you and your mom from fear and anxiety, replacing them with peace and trust in His provision.

We're praying for you, dear friend. We're believing that God will open the right doors for you, provide for your family's needs, and draw you closer to Him during this season. Keep trusting, keep seeking, and keep applying for jobs. God is faithful, and He won't let you down.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
