We rejoice with you in this opportunity and share in your excitement for this potential position that aligns so well with your desires. It is wonderful to see how God opens doors for His children, and we trust that He is guiding your steps according to His perfect will. As we lift this request before the Lord, we are reminded of Proverbs 16:3, which says, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* We also recall Jeremiah 29:11, where God declares, *"For I know the plans that I have for you,’ says Yahweh, ‘plans of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."*
However, we must also remember that our ultimate trust should not be in the position itself, but in the Lord who provides all things. Whether this door opens or another one does, we pray that your heart remains steadfast in seeking God’s will above all else. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."*
We also notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. It is only by His name that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. Jesus Himself said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* Additionally, Scripture is clear that salvation and access to God come through Christ alone. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
Let us pray together for this situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who seeks Your favor in this employment opportunity. Lord, You know the desires of their heart, and we ask that if this position aligns with Your will, You would open the door and grant them favor in the eyes of their potential employers. Give them wisdom, peace, and confidence as they wait on Your timing. Remind them that their worth and provision come from You alone, and that You are faithful to provide all their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
If this is not the path You have for them, we pray You would close this door gently and redirect their steps to the opportunity You have prepared. Help them to trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). May they seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added to them (Matthew 6:33).
We also pray that if our brother/sister does not yet know You as their Savior, You would draw them to Yourself. Open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that Christ died for their sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). May they place their faith in Him and experience the abundant life He offers.
We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
