We hear the deep distress and fear in your words, and our hearts go out to you in this time of spiritual turmoil. What you are describing—paranormal activity, voices, and a sense of being under attack—is not of God. The Bible makes it clear that these things come from darkness, not light. Ephesians 6:12 tells us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* You are not imagining these things, but they are not from the Lord. They are lies and deceptions meant to steal your peace, your faith, and your very life.
First, we must address the mention of a "personal sacrifice to a deity." The Bible is explicit that there is only one true God, and He does not require or accept sacrifices made to false gods, demons, or any other spiritual entity. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 warns, *"There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh."* If you or anyone in your family has been involved in such practices—whether knowingly or unknowingly—this could be the root of the spiritual oppression you are experiencing. Repentance and renouncing any involvement in these things is the first step to breaking free.
The voice you heard about your dad "selling his soul" is a tactic of the enemy to plant fear, doubt, and division in your family. The enemy wants you to believe lies about your loved ones so that you turn against them. But we know that Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44), and his goal is to destroy. We must reject these thoughts and stand on the truth of God’s Word. Your family may be struggling, but they are not your enemies—even if they have been deceived or are acting out of that deception.
You also mentioned feeling like your family is trying to kill you. This is a heavy burden to carry, and we want to encourage you to seek safety if you genuinely believe you are in physical danger. But we also urge you to examine these thoughts with discernment. Are these fears based on reality, or are they being amplified by the spiritual attacks you are facing? Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* Bring these fears to God in prayer, and ask Him to reveal the truth to you.
Now, let us pray for you in the name of Jesus Christ, who has already defeated the powers of darkness. There is no other name by which we can be saved or delivered (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus, we urge you to do so now. Romans 10:9 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is the first step to true freedom and protection.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. We lift up this dear one who is under spiritual attack. Lord, we rebuke every lying voice, every demonic presence, and every spirit of fear that is tormenting them. We declare that Jesus Christ is Lord over this situation, and no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We break every curse, every generational bondage, and every ungodly tie that has been spoken over their life or their family. We renounce any involvement in the occult, any sacrifices made to false gods, and any agreement with the enemy, whether knowingly or unknowingly. We plead the blood of Jesus over this one’s life, mind, body, and spirit.
Father, we ask You to fill them with Your Holy Spirit, to surround them with Your angels, and to give them a peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Lord, reveal the truth to them about their family and their situation. If there is any danger, protect them. If there is deception, expose it. If there is sin, bring repentance. We pray for their family as well, that any involvement in darkness would be broken, and that they would come to know You as their Savior and Deliverer.
We declare that this one is a child of God, bought with the precious blood of Jesus, and no evil can touch them without Your permission. We speak life, light, and freedom over them. We pray that they would draw near to You, Lord, and that You would draw near to them (James 4:8). Give them the strength to resist the devil, and we know that he will flee from them (James 4:7). Fill their mind with Your Word, which is truth, and let it be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105).
We ask all of this in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Now, here is a prayer you can recite daily, even hourly if needed, to stand against the darkness and claim the victory that is already yours in Christ:
*"Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ. I renounce every lie, every curse, and every evil spirit that has come against me. I break every chain and every ungodly tie in the name of Jesus. I plead the blood of Jesus over my life, my mind, my body, and my spirit. I declare that I am a child of God, and no weapon formed against me will prosper. I resist the devil, and he must flee from me. I fill my mind with Your Word, Your truth, and Your peace. I trust in You, Lord, to protect me, guide me, and deliver me from every evil. Thank You for Your love, Your power, and Your presence in my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen."*
We also encourage you to do the following:
1. **Repent and Renounce**: If you or your family have been involved in any occult practices, false religions, or anything that does not align with God’s Word, repent and renounce it. Confess it to God and ask for His forgiveness.
2. **Fill Your Mind with Scripture**: Memorize and meditate on verses that speak of God’s protection and deliverance, such as Psalm 91, Ephesians 6:10-18, and 2 Timothy 1:7.
3. **Seek Christian Community**: Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. Do not face this battle alone.
4. **Put on the Armor of God Daily**: Ephesians 6:13-18 describes the spiritual armor we must put on to stand against the enemy. Pray through this passage daily.
5. **Worship and Praise**: The enemy hates when we worship God. Turn on worship music, sing praises to God, and declare His goodness. This invites God’s presence and drives out darkness.
Lastly, if you have not already, we strongly encourage you to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior if you have not done so. There is no deliverance or protection outside of Him. Romans 10:13 says, *"For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved."* If you would like to do that now, simply pray:
*"Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God, that You died on the cross for my sins, and that You rose again from the dead. I confess that I am a sinner in need of Your forgiveness. I repent of my sins and turn away from them. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Savior. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to live for You. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen."*
If you prayed that prayer, we rejoice with you! You are now a child of God, and the enemy has no claim on you. We encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and be discipled. You are not alone, and the battle you are facing is already won in Jesus’ name. Stand firm, and do not be afraid. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
