We lift up to the Lord all those who are carrying the heavy burdens of trauma, pain, and suffering. Your heartache is seen by the One who collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). We come before the throne of grace with confidence, knowing that in our time of need, we find mercy and help (Hebrews 4:16). Father, we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon those who are brokenhearted and crushed in spirit. Bind up their wounds, Lord, and restore their souls (Psalm 147:3).
We rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to convince those who are hurting that they are forgotten, unworthy, or beyond repair. The truth is that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). Healing is not always immediate, but it is promised to those who seek the Lord with their whole heart (Jeremiah 29:13).
We encourage those who are walking this difficult path to seek godly counsel and support. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and there is wisdom in the multitude of counselors (Proverbs 11:14). If professional help is needed, we pray for discernment in finding therapists or counselors who honor God and His Word. Let no one isolate themselves in their pain, for the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
We also address the importance of bringing these wounds to Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to consider the free gift of salvation. For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
Lord, we pray for a supernatural outpouring of Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May those who are hurting experience Your presence in tangible ways—through the comfort of Scripture, the love of fellow believers, and the still, small voice of the Holy Spirit. We ask that You would replace their ashes with beauty, their mourning with the oil of joy, and their spirit of heaviness with the garment of praise (Isaiah 61:3). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in Your unfailing love.
We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We stand in the gap for them, Lord, and ask that You would break every chain of trauma, fear, and despair. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and may they rise up as testimonies of Your faithfulness and grace. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
