Marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, designed by God for mutual love, support, and the raising of godly offspring (Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:22-33). The focus should not be on finding a boyfriend but on preparing oneself for a godly spouse, should the Lord will it. The Lord knows the plans He has for each of us—plans for welfare, not for evil, to give a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Trust in His timing and His ways, for they are perfect. Instead of praying for a boyfriend, pray for God’s will to be done in your life, for a heart that seeks Him above all else, and for the wisdom to recognize and prepare for the spouse He may have for you, if it is His plan.
We also note that this request does not mention the name of Jesus, which is essential in prayer. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are reconciled to God (Ephesians 2:13, 18). Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
