We come before You, Heavenly Father, with heavy hearts as we lift up this family and all those who are enduring the profound pain of loss, abandonment, and betrayal. The weight of losing unborn children, the ache of being forsaken by loved ones, and the loneliness of having no refuge is more than any human heart should bear. Yet we know that You see every tear, hear every cry, and hold every broken soul in Your hands. We declare that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Even when fathers and mothers abandon their children, You promise to receive them and never leave them as orphans (John 14:18).

Lord, we entrust every unborn child who has been lost, whether through miscarriage, abortion, or rejection, into Your loving arms. You knit them together in their mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-16), and we trust that You receive them into Your eternal care. We rebuke the spirit of abandonment, betrayal, and death that has sought to steal, kill, and destroy in this family’s life (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in the gap, praying for healing, restoration, and Your perfect peace to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

For those who feel utterly alone, whether abandoned by a spouse, children, parents, or friends, we cry out for Your mercy. You are the Father to the fatherless and the Defender of the widow (Psalm 68:5). You promise that even if a mother could forget her nursing child, You will never forget Your children (Isaiah 49:15). We pray that You would be their shelter, their strong tower, and their ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). For those without a home or family to turn to, we ask that You provide refuge, whether through the kindness of Your people, the safety of a church community, or the miraculous provision of a place to call their own. You are the God who sets the solitary in families (Psalm 68:6), and we trust You to restore what has been broken.

We also lift up those who have been betrayed by friends or siblings. The pain of betrayal cuts deep, but You understand this suffering intimately, Lord Jesus. You were betrayed by one of Your own disciples, yet You prayed for Your enemies and entrusted Yourself to the Father (Luke 23:34). We ask that You would heal these wounds and replace bitterness with forgiveness, anger with peace, and loneliness with divine companionship. Help them to cast their burdens upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).

Father, we rebuke the lie that anyone is beyond Your reach or unworthy of Your love. You came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10), and Your grace is sufficient for every pain and every sin. For those who have participated in or been affected by abortion, we pray for Your forgiveness and healing. You are the God who forgives all iniquity and heals all diseases (Psalm 103:3). We declare that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1), and we pray for a fresh revelation of Your mercy and restoration.

We also address the spirit of abandonment that has plagued generations in this family. We break every generational curse in the name of Jesus and declare that the cycle of brokenness ends here. You are the God who turns the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers (Malachi 4:6). We pray for reconciliation where possible and for Your supernatural comfort where it is not.

Lord, we ask that You would raise up godly men and women to stand in the gap for this family. Surround them with believers who will love them, pray for them, and walk alongside them in their journey. Let them experience the love of Christ through Your body, the Church, so they may know they are not alone.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who bore our griefs and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). By His wounds, we are healed (1 Peter 2:24), and by His resurrection, we have hope. May this family and all who are suffering abandonment or loss encounter Your presence in a tangible way. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let them know that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We declare that You are making all things new (Revelation 21:5), and we trust You to restore what has been lost, heal what has been broken, and redeem every tear. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for opening this heavy burden to us. What we hear beneath your words is a profound grief, layered with losses of unborn children, shattered family ties, and the ache of having no safe place to run. That is a crushing weight, and we do not take it lightly.

When one loss stacks on another, as it has for you and those you are praying for, the pain compounds. The death of a child, even before birth, is one of the most disorienting griefs a person can carry, and it often gets brushed aside or borne in silence. You are giving voice to that sorrow, and also to the anguish of being left alone, without home or family to hold onto. That takes courage.

In times like this, it is common to fear that the loneliness and lack of shelter will never lift. While some losses are final this side of heaven, God does not abandon us in the rubble. He sees each tear, and He often provides new refuge, sometimes through a church family, a support group, or a friend who will simply sit with you in the quiet. Grief is not meant to be walked alone.

If you haven’t already, we’d gently encourage you to reach out to a local pastor or a Christian grief support group, where others can help carry what feels impossible to carry alone. Many communities have programs for those who have lost children through miscarriage or abortion, and those spaces can be deeply healing.

Let us pray with you now:

Father, into Your merciful hands we lift every unborn life that was never held on earth. We trust them to Your perfect love and care. For all who grieve these losses, those who feel abandoned, betrayed, and without shelter, we ask for Your tangible comfort. Be their refuge when there is no other. Break the isolation and raise up people who will walk alongside them. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

My dear friend, you have laid before the Lord a burden that many hearts carry in silence, a litany of abandonment that runs through the generations, and especially the little ones who never drew breath outside the womb. You have named them, and you have felt the weight of being cast off, of having no house, no shelter, no friend to lean upon. But know this: when your heart cried out over those unborn lives, you were not speaking into an empty void. There is an ear that gathered every syllable, and a heart that was already stirred long before you began to pray.

I want you to think for a moment of a child who has wandered from home and gotten lost in a crowded street. The din is terrifying, every face strange, and the child’s small voice is quite drowned out. But the mother is searching. She does not wait for the child to find her; she presses through the throng, eyes scanning, arms ready. That is a poor picture of the way your God has gone before you with His mercy. Before you ever formed the words “unborn,” “despised,” “abandoned,” the Shepherd had already gathered those lambs to His own bosom. He does not wait for our prayers to awaken His pity. His mercy goes ahead, forestalls, outruns us. The little ones you have entrusted to Him are not cast upon His doorstep as strangers. They are received in the arms that once blessed the infants brought to Him in Jerusalem. The very One who said “Suffer the little children to come unto me” is the same yesterday and today, and He has welcomed them home.

I know the darkness presses in when you look upon a family line marked by so much loss, so much desertion. It can feel as though you are Hagar sitting by a well in the wilderness, cast out by the very household where you sought shelter, and you expect no eye to see you, and no voice to call your name. But what happened there beside the well? The Angel of the Lord found her. He called her by name. He saw her affliction and He made her a promise that stretched far beyond her present misery. And the name she gave that well was “Thou God seest me.” My dear soul, the same living God sees you in this tangled grief. He sees the unborn children you grieve. He sees the mother or father who felt only contempt, the families broken and scattered. And He is not a distant spectator. He is the Father of the fatherless, the defender of the weak, and He has written His own pledge across the page of His Book: “Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.” That word is for you, and it is for those tiny souls who never found a home in any human heart.

You may wonder about the mercy of God when there is so much wrong, so much sin, so much wreckage. But the mercy of our God is not a shallow, hurried thing. It is like the tender care of a nurse in a hospital ward, who comes softly to the wounded soldier, bringing water for the fevered brow, salve for every wound, a stretcher carried with careful steps, a bed prepared, nourishment suited to the weakest frame, even flowers to cheer the eye, and a hand ready to write letters to loved ones, all this provided before the poor man ever thought to ask. That is the way of your Heavenly Father. He has made provision in Christ Jesus for every need before you could name it. And for the babies who died before they could know good or evil, there is a mercy that is deeper than our reasoning. Can a mother forget her nursing child? Even if she could, the Lord will not forget. The blood of Jesus speaks better things than the blood of Abel, and it pleads for those who cannot plead for themselves. Entrust them to that great Interpreter, that one Mediator between God and men. He knows how to present their case. He knows how to carry them safely.

Now let me steady you with this: you are not left to drift on this sea alone. The prayer you have begun is itself the forerunner of mercy. Every great deliverance in Scripture was heralded by the sighs and cries of God’s people. When the children of Israel groaned under Egypt’s lash, their cry came up to God, and the Red Sea split open before them. When Elijah prayed earnestly, the heavens gave rain after three years of drought. Your own tears, your own naming of these sorrows one by one, are not wasted. They are the echo of the Spirit’s groaning within you. Go on asking, go on seeking, go on knocking. The promise is given; now wait for the fulfillment. He who inclined His ear to you will surely answer in the way that brings the most glory to His name and the most good to your soul.

And if the thought arises that you have no merit to plead, no goodness of your own to bring, then hear the gospel once more: Christ Jesus came into the world to seek and to save that which was lost. We are all lost by nature, all born with the twist that leads to sin. But He has undertaken the work of redemption for all who trust in Him. He is the ark that rides above the flood. When the waves of sin and sorrow rise, they lift the ark higher, but they cannot drown those who are in Him. So bring your own soul, and bring the memory of those little ones, and leave them all in that blessed ark. He is able to keep what you have committed to Him.

Let us turn these meditations into a prayer, even now.

Lord Jesus, great Messenger of the Covenant, look upon this dear one who comes to You with a heart bruised by so many partings. Receive the unborn children into the light of Your face. Let them know the warmth of Your welcome where no sin can ever touch them. For all who have been abandoned, mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, friends, be their shelter in the storm. Be the house that human hands could never build, the family that blood could not provide, the refuge that remains when every door is shut. Heal the wounds of the generations, and let Your mercy go beforehand to prepare peace for those who still walk in darkness. We cast ourselves, and all these sorrows, upon Your atoning sacrifice, trusting that You are both just and the justifier of the one who believes in Jesus. Draw near to the brokenhearted, and give them the oil of joy for mourning. In Your blessed name, O Christ our Savior, we rest. Amen.

We are deeply moved by the weight of your prayer request and the tender, broken places in your heart that it reveals. It has been our privilege to stand with you in prayer these past days, lifting up the generations of loss, abandonment, and unborn children to the Father’s care. We have cried out for mercy on behalf of those who feel forsaken—wives, husbands, sons, daughters, siblings, friends—and for the little ones who never drew breath but are held safely in God’s hands. We have prayed that the Lord, who promises in Psalm 27:10 to receive those even when earthly parents forsake, would be your shelter and theirs. We have asked Him to comfort you with the truth of Isaiah 49:15, that even if a mother could forget, He never will.

If in these days you have seen His hand move—whether in a moment of unexpected peace, a word of encouragement, or a tangible provision—we would be honored to hear your praise report. Let us rejoice together in His faithfulness. If, however, the ache remains and the answers feel distant, we invite you to post this request again. We are not weary of standing with you in prayer, for our God is near to the brokenhearted, and He collects every tear in His bottle.

May the Lord bless you with His presence as you continue to seek Him. May He wrap you in His love, heal the deep wounds of loss, and restore what has been broken. We pray this in the powerful and compassionate name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
