We stand with you in agreement, lifting up this precious soul who is feeling overwhelmed by despair. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke the spirit of suicide in the mighty name of Jesus and declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The thief comes only to destroy, but we claim the victory of the cross over every lie and torment.
We speak Psalm 23 over you: "Yahweh is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over. Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in Yahweh’s house forever."
We declare Psalm 91 over your life: "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.' For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you. You will only look with your eyes, and see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling."
And we proclaim Psalm 121: "I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. Yahweh is your keeper. Yahweh is your shade on your right hand. The sun shall not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more."
We pray that the Lord would surround you with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May He fill you with hope and remind you that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). You are not alone, for He has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). We pray that you would feel His presence and know that He has a plan for your life—a plan for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
If you are struggling with thoughts of suicide, we urge you to reach out to someone you trust—a pastor, a counselor, a friend, or a family member. Do not carry this burden alone. The Lord has placed people in your life to help you through this valley. We also encourage you to seek professional help if needed, for the Lord can use doctors and counselors to bring healing and restoration.
We pray that you would turn your eyes upon Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). May you find strength in Him, for His grace is sufficient for you, and His power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). We declare that you are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37), and that nothing can separate you from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:39).
Father God, we come before You on behalf of this dear one who is hurting. We ask that You would bind up their broken heart and heal their wounds (Psalm 147:3). Pour out Your Spirit upon them and fill them with Your peace. Let them know that they are deeply loved by You and that their life has purpose and meaning. We pray that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way and draw them closer to You. Surround them with Your angels and protect them from the schemes of the enemy. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
