We join with you in prayer together in Jesus' name and we hear the heaviness in your request with this suffocating heat, the worry over utilities, the stress of waiting for help, and the burden on your health.
We know the Lord sees your discomfort and He is sovereign over all creation. We are reminded that Yahweh is your keeper. Yahweh is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. Psalm 121:5-6. Even when the weather feels strange and oppressive, we trust that He remains our shelter and our comfort.
We also lift up your concern about being overcharged and your need for justice from that office. We pray that the Lord will grant you favor and clear communication when they try to connect again tomorrow. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness shine out like light, and your justice as the noonday. Psalm 37:5-6. We ask God to move on the hearts of those in that office to respond promptly, to act fairly, and to help bring about what is right. We also remember His promise that my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19, and we trust Him to provide for your utility needs and to protect you from any dishonest charge.
We bring before the Lord your health, the high A1c, the struggle with sugary foods and drinks, and the stress that has been weighing on you. We pray for healing and strength for your body, for wisdom as you steward the body God has given you. Beloved, we pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2. We ask Him to lower what is high and to restore balance, and we pray for self control which is fruit of the Spirit, for the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23. We ask Jesus to help you find freedom from cravings, to burn away the desire for what harms you, and to give you grace to choose what nourishes and strengthens you. We encourage you to continue to seek wise medical counsel and to take small faithful steps each day, trusting God with the results, and remembering that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit.
For the stress and sickness you feel, we cast all our cares on Him together. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. And we take comfort that we can be casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7.
So we pray now, Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we thank You that we can come boldly to Your throne. Lord, we ask You to send relief from this heat, to cool our dwelling, to guard us from illness, and to keep us from harm. Provide for our needs and let no overcharge or injustice stand, let honest and fair dealings prevail. Touch this office that is meant to help us, open the line of communication tomorrow, give us favor and let justice be done. Touch our bodies, Lord, lower this A1c, heal what stress and heat have aggravated, take away the craving for sugary foods and drinks and replace it with desire for what is wholesome. Grant us peace in place of stress, rest in place of anxiety, and strength for each day. We trust Your will and Your timing and we thank You for hearing us. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
