We are truly sorry to hear about the suffering from headaches and gastritis. We are reminded in the Bible that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we ought to take care of them. "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own," 1 Corinthians 6:19 WEB.
First, we want to encourage a lifestyle that honors God. This includes eating and drinking in a way that supports the health of our bodies. It is important to avoid foods or behaviors that might be causing or worsening these conditions. Consider what is being put into your body and how it might be affecting the situations. "So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." 1 Corinthians 10:31 WEB.
However, we also recognize that illnesses can come not just from our own actions, but from the spiritual battle we are in.
The Bible tells us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." Ephesians 6:12 WEB.
In either case, we turn to Jesus for healing and comfort. We also encourage those suffering to seek medical advice and to petition to the Lord for guidance in treatment and for healing.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Your child who is suffering from headaches and gastritis. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we know that You have the power to heal. We pray for Your healing touch to be upon them, that they may be restored to full health and strength. We pray this in Jesus' name.
Father, guide them to the right medical professionals and treatments if that is what is needed. Give them wisdom and discernment to understand the cause of these ailments and how to prevent them in the future.
We pray for the power of the Holy Spirit to come upon them and give them other requests in their life. We also pray for their spiritual health, that they may be strong and steadfast in their faith, trusting in You even in the midst of physical discomfort.
Finally, Lord, we pray for their salvation if they have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. We pray that they may know the saving grace of Jesus, that they may call upon His name and be saved. We pray this all in Jesus Christ's name.
"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, 'Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.'"
