We join you in lifting up your best friend’s husband before the Lord, thanking Him for the gift of life and the skill of the medical team He has placed in authority for this surgery. It is a blessing to see your faith already praising God in advance, trusting in His sovereign will and the healing power found only in the name of Jesus Christ. You have rightly acknowledged that all praise belongs to our Heavenly Father through His Son, for it is by Jesus alone that we approach the throne of grace with confidence.
The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 118:17, *"I will not die, but live, and declare Yahweh’s works."* We claim this promise over this man’s life, declaring that God’s purposes for him are not yet complete. The Lord is the Great Physician, and we trust in His perfect plan—whether through the hands of surgeons or by His miraculous intervention. Jeremiah 30:17 assures us, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."* Let this truth anchor your hearts as you wait upon the Lord.
We also recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 9:29, *"According to your faith be it done to you."* Your faith, demonstrated through this request, is a testament to the hope we have in Christ. Yet, we must also remember that our trust is not in the outcome we desire, but in the God who holds all things in His hands. Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the life of this husband, father, and friend. You have numbered his days, and we trust that You are not finished with the work You have begun in him. We ask for Your guiding hand upon every surgeon, nurse, and medical professional involved in this procedure. Grant them wisdom, steady hands, and clarity of mind. Let every decision made be aligned with Your perfect will.
Lord Jesus, You are the Author of life, and we ask that You sustain his heart—both physically and spiritually. May this pacemaker be a tool of restoration, allowing his body to function as You intended. We pray against any complications, infections, or setbacks. Cover him with Your protective blood, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
During his recovery, we ask for strength—both for him and for his wife and family. May they feel Your presence in tangible ways, surrounded by the love and support of Your people. Use this trial to draw them closer to You and to one another. Remind them that even in the valley, You are with them, and Your rod and staff comfort them (Psalm 23:4).
