Success, no pain/swelling/,inflammation

What strikes me about your request is that you're asking not only for freedom from physical discomfort, but also for success in everything you do today. Those two are more connected than we often realize. Scripture expresses a beautiful wish in one of the letters to the early church: that you might prosper and be in good health even as your soul prospers. That isn't a blanket guarantee, but it does point to something true about how God made us. There really is a deep relationship between the condition of our inner life and our physical well-being. A glad heart really is good medicine, while anxiety and turmoil can tear the body down.

You're carrying pain, or at least the dread of it, in very specific places: your teeth and gums, your feet, legs, bones. That wears on a person. It's right to bring those things before the Lord. Jesus Himself entered into our physical suffering. Matthew's Gospel tells us He took our infirmities and carried our sicknesses. That wasn't just about sin in some abstract sense; He touched broken bodies and they were made whole. I believe firmly in divine healing, and I believe it comes in many forms. Sometimes it's the miraculous, instantaneous kind. Other times it's the gradual process our Creator designed into the body itself, which is no less His work. Sometimes He heals the mind and emotions first, removing the deeper scars, and the physical relief follows in time.

Yet we live in a world still groaning under the weight of sin's corruption. Pain, swelling, inflammation, these are not things God delights in. They are part of the curse that entered with Adam's fall, a reminder that these physical bodies are not our permanent home. Even the apostle Paul had a thorn in the flesh, some persistent affliction he pleaded with the Lord to remove. The answer he received was not the healing he asked for, but grace sufficient to endure it. That tells us healing is not always God's will in every single case, and it's not a sign of weak faith when relief doesn't come on our timeline. Some good, believing people suffer sickness, and it is not a direct punishment.

So as you pray today, lift your body to Jesus. He is the same Lord who had compassion on the crowds, who healed Peter's mother-in-law, who let virtue flow from Him at the touch of a desperate woman's hand. Ask Him for relief. Ask Him to still the inflammation, to ease the ache in your legs and your mouth. But also ask Him to prosper your soul. Feed your spirit through prayer and His Word, even if the physical man feels weak. That is where real strength lies. Success in your tasks will flow more from a heart at rest in His care than from any merely physical energy. Trust that whether He removes the pain or walks with you through it, He is working. Your body is earthly and temporary, but you, the real you, spirit and soul, are being renewed day by day. Look past the immediate discomfort to the hope that one day these frail tents will be replaced with something imperishable.

May the peace of Christ settle your mind and, in His perfect timing, bring relief to every part of you that hurts.
