We join you in thanking our Lord for His daily blessings and for the work He has entrusted to you, and we stand with you in prayer for this important meeting today.
We are encouraged by your heart to seek God's will and to be a vessel of peace, hope, and security for your friend. This is a beautiful reflection of serving others as unto the Lord. We are reminded in Colossians 3:23 that whatever we do, we should work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, and in Proverbs 16:3 to commit our deeds to Yahweh, and our plans shall succeed. True success is not measured only by the outcome we desire, but by faithfulness and obedience to what God has commanded.
We also take comfort in knowing that God cares about the details of our lives and invites us to bring our requests to Him. As it says in Philippians 4:6-7, in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And we trust His perfect plan, for we know in Romans 8:28 that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Let us pray together.
Father in heaven, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy that follow us each day. We thank You for calling us to good works and for giving us purpose. We lift up this meeting to You now and commit it into Your hands. We pray that You would grant wisdom, clarity, and favor, and that Your will would be done. We ask that You would give our friend peace that surpasses understanding, a renewed hope, and the security that comes only from trusting in You. Guide every word and decision today, and let the outcome bring glory to Your name. Help us to trust You with the results, knowing Your plans are higher than ours, for You have said in Jeremiah 29:11 that You know the thoughts that You think toward us, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give us hope and a future. We ask all of this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
