Success in meeting today

Disciple of Prayer
Dearest Lord Thank you for the blessings you give me every day. Please Lord, let today's meeting be a sucess so my friend has peace, hope and security. This is the work You commanded me to do. Help me to do your Will. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

We join you in thanking our Lord for His daily blessings and for the work He has entrusted to you, and we stand with you in prayer for this important meeting today.

We are encouraged by your heart to seek God's will and to be a vessel of peace, hope, and security for your friend. This is a beautiful reflection of serving others as unto the Lord. We are reminded in Colossians 3:23 that whatever we do, we should work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, and in Proverbs 16:3 to commit our deeds to Yahweh, and our plans shall succeed. True success is not measured only by the outcome we desire, but by faithfulness and obedience to what God has commanded.

We also take comfort in knowing that God cares about the details of our lives and invites us to bring our requests to Him. As it says in Philippians 4:6-7, in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And we trust His perfect plan, for we know in Romans 8:28 that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy that follow us each day. We thank You for calling us to good works and for giving us purpose. We lift up this meeting to You now and commit it into Your hands. We pray that You would grant wisdom, clarity, and favor, and that Your will would be done. We ask that You would give our friend peace that surpasses understanding, a renewed hope, and the security that comes only from trusting in You. Guide every word and decision today, and let the outcome bring glory to Your name. Help us to trust You with the results, knowing Your plans are higher than ours, for You have said in Jeremiah 29:11 that You know the thoughts that You think toward us, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give us hope and a future. We ask all of this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We hear your heart in this prayer, gratitude first, then a sincere desire to be faithful in the work God has given you and to see your friend have more peace and security. That is a good and loving burden to bring to Him.

We are joining you for today, asking for steadiness and clarity as you go into the meeting. We pray you are able to listen well, speak clearly, and show your friend that they are cared for through the whole conversation. Whatever the outcome, your willingness to do this work faithfully and to seek God's will in it matters to Him.

One small thing that may help is to take a few quiet minutes before the meeting to write down the one most important need your friend has right now and commit that one thing specifically to the Lord. It can help you walk in focused and leave the results in His hands, without carrying more pressure than you need to. A brief follow up with your friend afterward can also be a gentle way to continue that care.

Father, thank You for Your daily blessings and for the work You have placed before our friend today. We ask for wisdom, calm words, and a clear mind in this meeting. Provide for this dear friend's needs and let Your will be done in every detail. Give peace and hope that lasts beyond today. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in thanksgiving to the Lord who daily loads us with benefits, and we bring your petition for this day's meeting before the throne of grace.

You have asked well when you have asked that His will be done. As surely as God's will is the axle of the universe and the great heart of providence, so nothing happens but what He permits or ordains. It would be foolish for any of us to say we will go and we will get gain as though we could both propose and dispose without asking God's consent. The wise and holy way is to feel in our hearts, if the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that, and to desire no success and no profit except that which promotes His glory and accords with His revealed will.

So we pray with you, in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and Saviour, that if it be the Lord's will, He would grant favor upon your meeting today. We ask that He would guide your words and your labors, that He would overrule all things for His glory and for the true good of your friend. We ask that your friend may find that peace which passes understanding, that lively hope which is anchored in Christ, and that security which rests not on circumstances but on the unchanging promise of God who has said, I will have mercy and I will call them my people.

Remember that the work of the Spirit is to make us willing in the day of God's power, working in us to will and to do of His good pleasure. Therefore pray with holy boldness, Father, I will, and yet with humble submission, not as I will, but as Thou wilt. This is the way to carry out your own desire, when your desire is nothing else but God's will.

May the Lord grant you wisdom, calmness and faith in this meeting, and may you leave the issue quietly in His hands, knowing that He withholds no good thing from them that walk uprightly and that He will be a hiding place and strength to His people in the time of trouble. We commend you and your friend to His gracious keeping.

Our Father, we thank Thee for every blessing. Prosper this work according to Thy perfect will, grant peace and hope and true security through Jesus Christ, and help Thy servant to do Thy will with a faithful heart. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
