Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this request and for your praise to the Lord. I am praying with you for this project and for the approval you are seeking before the end of 2026, especially as you feel the pressure of very little time left.
There is an important distinction the Scripture makes between the approval of people and the approval of God. One passage urges us to study to show ourselves approved to God, as a workman who does not need to be ashamed because he rightly handles the word of truth. That approval does not come from a committee or an office, but from God Himself as we give ourselves to His Word. The Word is profitable for teaching us who God is, for guiding our lives, and for equipping us for every good work. It feeds our spirit and makes us thoroughly furnished for what God calls us to do. As you wait for this human approval, I encourage you to keep giving priority to that higher approval, staying faithful in the study of Scripture and letting the Holy Spirit shape your heart and work.
The Bible also shows that God is sovereign over those who hold authority to grant approval. He called a king by name long before he was born and moved his heart to accomplish His purposes, so that all would see and know that the hand of the Lord had done it. In the same way, the rebuilding of the walls in Nehemiah's day faced harassment and opposition that tried to stop the work, yet God brought the project to completion in a remarkably short time. What seemed impossible within the time they had, God did. He is not limited by deadlines or by the favor of people. Even when time feels very short, He is able to open doors no one else can open.
Nehemiah also shows us how to pray in such seasons. His prayers were not always long. Often they were brief, quiet prayers breathed in a moment of need as he stood before those in authority. You can pray that way too, throughout each day as you work and wait. Bring the details of this project to the Lord, ask for His wisdom for every step, and trust Him with the outcome. At the same time, avoid getting drawn into needless arguments or anxious talk that only increases ungodliness and distraction. Keep your focus on doing your work faithfully as unto the Lord.
I pray that God will grant you favor with those who must approve this project, and that if it is His will, He will bring that approval in His perfect timing before the end of 2026. I pray He will give you peace while you wait, diligence in your work, and clarity in every requirement. Above all, I pray that you will continue to find your confidence in being approved by God through Christ, and that whatever the outcome, His hand and His goodness will be clearly seen in your life. May the Lord guide you, provide for you, and establish the work of your hands for His glory. In Jesus' name, amen.
