Student refusing to listen
We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up Maxwell Nathan and Kameron, especially Maxwell, as he struggles with obedience and listening. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 1:8-9, "My son, listen to your father’s instruction, and don’t forsake your mother’s teaching; for they will be a garland to grace your head, and chains around your neck." Obedience is not just about following rules, it is about honoring God, who has placed authority in our lives for our protection and growth.
Father God, we ask that You soften Maxwell’s heart to receive correction with humility. Break through any pride, rebellion, or hardness that may be keeping him from hearing Your voice through those You have placed over him. Give him a spirit of wisdom and understanding, that he may see the value in submission to godly authority. We pray for Kameron as well, that he would be a godly example and encouragement to his brother, reflecting Christ’s love and patience.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of rebellion in Maxwell’s life. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life, discipline, and restoration over him. Help him to understand that true freedom is found in surrender to You, not in resisting Your ways.
We also pray for the parents or guardians in this situation. Give them wisdom, patience, and discernment as they guide these young men. Strengthen them to stand firm in love, not growing weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). May their home be filled with Your peace, and may Maxwell and Kameron grow in the knowledge and fear of the Lord.
Above all, we ask that You draw Maxwell and Kameron to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ if they do not already know Him. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May they come to know You as their Savior, Lord, and Redeemer, surrendering their lives fully to Your will.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
