Beloved of All
I feel like nothing is moving or changing, I feel so angry and depressed and upset today. I want to give up, I have reapplied for support and hopefully I'll be able to make rent this month. I just feel so alone , empty, angry and hopeless. I lift these up to LORD and the divine, amen

We hear the depth of your pain and frustration, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle. The feelings of anger, depression, and hopelessness are heavy burdens to carry, and we stand with you in seeking God’s comfort and intervention. It’s clear you are reaching out for help, and that is a courageous first step. We want to remind you that your worth is not defined by your circumstances, but by the One who created you and loves you unconditionally.

First, let us address your mention of lifting these burdens up to the "LORD and the divine." While we honor your intent to seek help from a higher power, we must gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for He alone can bring true peace, healing, and hope to your life. Salvation comes through believing in Him, repenting of sin, and trusting in His sacrifice on the cross for your sins. If you would like to know more about this, we would be honored to share the good news of the Gospel with you.

Now, let us lift your struggles to the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling stuck, angry, and hopeless. Lord, You see the weight they are carrying, and You know the depths of their pain. We ask that You would wrap Your arms around them and remind them that they are never alone. Father, we pray for provision in their time of need, meet them where they are and provide for their physical needs, including their rent and daily bread. You are Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider, and we trust in Your faithfulness.

Lord, we ask that You would calm the storm of anger and depression in their heart. Fill the emptiness they feel with Your presence, for You have promised in Your Word that those who seek You will lack no good thing (Psalm 34:10). Help them to cast their burdens upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Renew their hope, Lord, and remind them that their current circumstances do not define their future. You are the God who makes all things new (Revelation 21:5), and we trust that You are working even when we cannot see it.

Father, we also ask that You would surround them with Your people, believers who can come alongside them, offer encouragement, and remind them of Your love. Protect their heart from despair and help them to fix their eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). Give them the strength to persevere, knowing that You are with them every step of the way.

We rebuke the spirit of hopelessness and depression in the name of Jesus. We declare that these feelings have no place in their life, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We speak life, joy, and peace over them, and we trust that You will bring breakthrough in Your perfect timing. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We want to encourage you with the truth of God’s Word. In Psalm 34:18-19, it says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Even in your pain, God is near to you. He sees your tears, hears your cries, and is working behind the scenes on your behalf. It may not feel like it right now, but His promises are true, and His timing is perfect.

We also want to gently address the anger you are feeling. Anger is not inherently sinful, even Jesus expressed righteous anger (Mark 3:5), but it can become destructive if it is not surrendered to God. Ephesians 4:26-27 says, "Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil." We encourage you to bring your anger to the Lord in prayer. Ask Him to help you release it and to replace it with His peace. Holding onto anger can lead to bitterness, which only harms you further. Instead, choose to forgive, even if it feels impossible, because forgiveness is not for the other person; it is for your own freedom.

In times like these, it is also important to cling to God’s promises. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Even when life feels stagnant, God is working. He has a plan for you, and it is a plan for good. We encourage you to spend time in His Word, even if it’s just a few verses a day. Let His truth sink into your heart and renew your mind (Romans 12:2).

Lastly, we want to remind you that you are not alone. The body of Christ is here to support you, and we are praying for you. If you have access to a local church or a community of believers, we encourage you to reach out to them. God often uses His people to be His hands and feet in times of need. If you are isolated, we pray that God would bring godly people into your life who can walk alongside you.

Keep pressing into God, even when it feels hard. He is faithful, and He will not abandon you. We are standing with you in prayer, trusting that God will bring breakthrough, provision, and peace in His perfect timing. You are loved, you are valued, and you are not forgotten.

We hear how heavy this day is, the weight of bills that feel impossible and the loneliness that makes the struggle cut even deeper. It is completely understandable that the anger and hopelessness are bubbling up right now. When a person is fighting just to keep a roof overhead, the exhaustion is real, and the frustration is not a sign of weak faith; it’s a sign of a heart longing for stability and peace. It makes sense that you’d feel angry when nothing seems to be moving.

Often, that anger is pointing to something even more vulnerable underneath, maybe the fear of what happens if the support doesn’t come through, or the discouragement of feeling like you’re carrying this all by yourself. You aren’t failing because you feel this way. You’re human, and you’re overwhelmed.

Since you’ve already reapplied for support, that’s a brave step you’ve taken. While you wait to hear back, it might help to look into whether there’s a local tenants’ advocacy group or a church benevolence fund in your area that can walk alongside you if there’s a delay. Sometimes just having a backup name and number in your pocket can soften that frantic feeling a little.

Please don’t try to white-knuckle this alone. Is there one person you could call today, not to fix the money, but just to sit with you in the mess? Even a short, honest conversation can push back against the emptiness.

Father, in Jesus’ name we come with our friend who is so tired and angry and afraid. You see the rent that’s due and the heart that’s breaking. Please open a door quickly for the support to come through. Surround this person with someone who will show up in a tangible way, and quiet the spiraling thoughts tonight. Give just enough strength for this one day. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The anguish you describe is not a stranger to the saints, nor to the Savior Himself. Remember that hour when, in His most tender need of human sympathy, all forsook Him and fled. He stood alone, yet He was not alone, for the Father was with Him. This is the deep well from which you must draw. Your loneliness is a bitter cup, but it is one which your Lord has already drained to its dregs. And see what came of His abandonment: it did not destroy Him. It pained Him, yes, but it did not dismay Him. Why? Because the Father’s presence was His true and final solace. Lay hold of this same reality for yourself. Cry out to the Father who never leaves, and let that be your anchor when every human sympathy seems withdrawn.

I perceive too a soul-conflict in your words, a fight for the very existence of faith. Anger and depression can so strangle prayer that it dies in the throat, and roaring takes its place. But beware of finding comfort in the mere feeling of distress apart from looking to Christ. Nothing can be good that is unsalted with faith. If any secret thing has been harbored, any sin left unconfessed, drag it out now before the Lord. It may be that which makes the heavens seem brass. Get it dealt with at the mercy seat, and let no guilt lie festering upon the conscience. For while guilt remains covered, the soul grows harder, and hope feels far off.

Yet even in the depths, hear the call of infinite love: “Eat that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.” There is a feast spread in the Word for those who have no appetite. Sit down and eat, and eat, and eat forever of this provision. If the excitement of past delight has been followed by this heaviness, then seek that delight again in the same place, in the promises, in the covenant, in Christ Himself. The wind still blows from the Hill Beulah; you may yet smell the spices of the Celestial City. Do not give up. Though you feel stuck, though the rent of your soul seems beyond payment, the Lord’s compassions fail not. Wait on Him, feed on Him, and let Him be your shelter when all other doors seem shut.

I hear the bitterness in your words, and I cannot be silent. You feel trapped in a place where nothing moves, and anger and emptiness have swallowed you whole. But see now where this leads: you say you lift these things to the Lord, yet you also say you want to give up. That is the danger. Giving up is despair, and despair is a pit deeper than any sin or trouble. For the sin itself may be amended by repentance, but despair slams the door on repentance and leaves you outside in the dark. The enemy never despairs of destroying you. He is always plotting, always pressing, because he knows that if you fall, you might yet rise, but if you despair, you will stay down. Will you let him win so easily, when he never loses hope of your ruin? Turn that around: if he is so relentless, how much more relentless is the mercy of God?

You are pressed on every side, but not crushed. The rent is uncertain, your heart is heavy, loneliness bites, but these things have not squeezed the life out of you yet. The Apostle says we are perplexed, yet not unto despair. You feel the confusion, the stuckness, but that is not the end. It is exactly when we see no way out that we discover God’s power to make a way. He allows these pressures to teach us not to lean on our own strength, for that would be pride. He lets the walls close in so that we might finally stop thrashing and let Him carry us.

And remember: as long as you breathe, it is still called “Today.” That one word is a rope thrown to a drowning soul. Today you can repent, Today you can hope, Today you can get back up. Do not listen to the voice that whispers it is too late, or that your anger proves you are lost. Even the Ninevites had only a threat of doom hanging over them, and in one day they turned and found mercy. God’s warnings are not a final decree; they are a call to run toward Him, not away. So do not be paralyzed by your feelings. They are real, but they are not your master. Your Master is God, and He is able to make you stand, even now, even in your fury and tears. Pour them all out before Him. He would rather hear your honest rage than your polite despair.

Rise up. Hold fast to the hope that does not disappoint, because you are not your own; you belong to Another, and He will not let you fall beyond His reach. The dark cloud you see now is not the judgment seat; it is a passing shadow. Cry out from it, and He will pull you into the light.

When everything feels stuck and the anger and emptiness press in so hard you want to give up, you are not alone in that dark valley. The weight of depression often grows from the root of hopelessness, the sense that there is no way out, that nothing you do can change what is crushing you. The circumstances around you can scream for your attention, and the more you stare at them, the deeper the despair can dig in. That heaviness, that agitation, that restless misery you are feeling today is real, and it matters.

There is an anger that can rise up from that place. Sometimes anger is the raw cry of a heart that knows things are not as they should be. There is an anger that burns against injustice, against the brokenness of this world, against whatever it is that has you trapped and unable to make rent. That kind of anger is not sinful in itself. But anger can also turn into a snare. When it festers, it becomes bitterness, wrath, and a clamor that grieves the Spirit of God within you. It can lead you to lash out at those closest to you, or it can turn inward and consume you. You must be on guard. The enemy would love nothing more than for that righteous spark to twist into a raging fire that leaves only ashes.

What you are enduring may be more than just difficult circumstances. Those sudden, overwhelming waves of depression and crankiness, that feeling of being under a cloud of heaviness, Scripture reveals that we are in a spiritual battle. The enemy attacks the mind, seeking to steal your hope and drown you in despair. You cannot lift yourself out of this by your own schemes and fleshly devices. Trying harder in your own strength only wears you down further. The fight will go on and on until you pick up the spiritual weapons God has placed at your disposal.

This is the moment to set your mind not on the ruin around you, but on the Lord. The prophet who wrote Lamentations began in total, absolute hopelessness, recounting every terror. But the turning point came when he deliberately chose to call to mind the steadfast love of the Lord. You can think yourself into the grave, or you can, by a decisive act of your will, renew your mind in Christ and come into a completely different state of consciousness. This is not pretending the pain isn’t there; it is bringing the truth of God’s faithfulness into the middle of the pain.

Take the victory that is already yours in Christ over this attack. As you begin to open your mouth in praise despite the feeling, as you rejoice in who God is, the depression loses its grip. The irritation begins to lift. The day changes not because your circumstances have instantly shifted, but because you have stepped into the reality of His triumph. You have already lifted these things to the Lord, which is the right place to start. Now, follow that prayer with deliberate, spoken praise. Put away the clamor and evil speaking, and let the Holy Spirit fill that space with His peace. The sense of being alone is a lie from the pit. He is with you, and He has not forgotten you, even in the very hour of your distress.
