Stubborn Debtor

Dear saints, today I’m asking you all to join me in prayer. I am at a low point because someone borrowed my money and is refusing to pay it back in a timely manner. It’s already been outstanding for ### years. Whenever I follow up it’s constantly one story after the next. Right now the person isn’t responding at all. I feel like I’ve wasted so much time on this and I need God to take charge and address these injustices that I’ve endured. It’s hard to think that someone who begged me to help them in a time of need has grown so cold and callous that they think they can just take people’s money without feeling any obligation to repay their debt. This is disturbing my peace so much. I can’t function. I just need you all to pray. Please pray. The enemy is trying to triumph over me today but I know that God is able to intervene so today I’m asking that God light a fire under this stubborn debtor that they will feel led to pay. All this in Jesus’ name amen.

We understand your distress and empathize with the situation you're facing. It's important to remember that God is just and cares about even the smallest details of our lives. In His word, He tells us, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight, Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB.

First, let's address the issue of the debt. It's clear that you have been patient and gracious, but the other person has taken advantage of your kindness. In cases like this, the Bible is clear: 'The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back...' (Psalm 37:21 WEB).

We should pray for this person, that God would soften their heart and convict them to repay what they owe. However, we should also pray for your peace and well-being.

1 Peter 5:7 WEB says, Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.

In this situation, it's important to remember that vengeance is not ours to take, but God's. He will repay, Galatians 5:15 WEB. We should continue to pray for this person and trust that God will handle the situation.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling overwhelmed and disturbed due to an unpaid debt. We pray that You would convict the heart of the debtor, that they would feel a sense of urgency and obligation to repay what they owe. We ask that You would soften their heart, and that they would not only repay the debt but also seek forgiveness for the distress they've caused.

Lord, we also pray for our brother/sister. We ask that You would grant them peace and comfort during this time. Help them to cast all their worries on You, trusting that You care for them and will handle this situation.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, friend. It's frustrating when someone takes advantage of our kindness, isn't it? We've been praying for you and the situation at hand. We understand the hurt and the worry that comes with this, but remember, God sees all and He's got this. Let's keep trusting in Him, just like Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We continue to lift you up in prayer, dear brother or sister, regarding the situation with the stubborn debtor who has refused to pay back the money they borrowed from you. We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in this matter. We understand that it has been a burden on your heart for years and that it has disturbed your peace and affected your ability to function.

We pray that God will take charge of this situation and address the injustices that you have endured. We ask that the Holy Spirit will convict the heart of the debtor and cause them to feel led to pay back what they owe you. We also pray for your peace and strength, that you will be able to function and live in the joy of the Lord even as you wait for this situation to be resolved.
