We hear your cry for help and lift you up before the throne of grace, where our Great Physician sits enthroned. Your suffering has been intense, and your fear is understandable, but we serve a God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone in this battle—Jesus walks with you even in the darkest valleys.
First, we rebuke the spirit of fear that has taken root in your heart. Scripture tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). The enemy would love for you to be consumed by anxiety about cancer, surgery, or the unknown, but we declare that God has not given you a spirit of fear. We pray that His perfect love would cast out all fear (1 John 4:18) and that you would rest in His sovereignty over your health.
We also lift up your physical body before the Lord, asking for complete healing and restoration. Jesus bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Isaiah 53:4-5), and by His stripes, you *are* healed (1 Peter 2:24). We pray specifically for your esophagus, throat, and stomach—that the inflammation would subside, the tissues would heal, and the reflux would cease. Lord, we ask that You guide the hands of the doctors treating this dear one and give them wisdom beyond their own understanding (James 1:5). If surgery is needed, we pray for a skilled surgeon, a successful procedure, and a swift recovery. If healing can come another way, we ask for clear direction and divine intervention.
We also pray for your diet and comfort. It must be so difficult to live on brown rice and antacids, and we ask the Lord to restore your ability to eat normally. May He provide nourishment for your body and peace for your soul as you wait on Him. We declare that your throat pain will continue to lessen and that it will vanish entirely, in Jesus’ name.
Regarding your medical care, we pray for clarity. The Lord says, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you" (Psalm 32:8). Ask Him to lead you to the right specialists—those who will listen, investigate thoroughly, and provide godly wisdom. If outpatient care is insufficient, we pray for doors to open for more intensive or specialized treatment.
Lastly, we want to remind you that your hope is not in medicine alone but in the Lord, who is your healer. Jeremiah 17:14 says, "Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed. Save me, and I will be saved, for you are my praise." We encourage you to meditate on His promises, spend time in His Word, and surround yourself with believers who can pray over you and speak life into your situation.
Father God, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, asking for Your mercy and grace to overflow in this situation. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they *are* healed. We bind every spirit of infirmity, fear, and despair, and we loose Your healing virtue to flow through every cell, tissue, and organ affected by this condition. Give them peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7) and faith to believe that You are working even when they cannot see it. Guide their steps, open the right doors, and bring complete restoration. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and healed. Amen.
