Please continue to pray for my husband. He seems a little better today. Thank you for lifting him up so many times. He is now traveling and had a long journey ahead. Pray his mental health issues continue to improve. He is still manic and anxious and I worry for him. Dear Jesus please return him to a healthier place and keep him safe always. Amen

Has a long journey ahead.

We hear your heart, dear sister in Christ, and we join you in lifting your husband before the throne of grace with deep compassion. It is a sacred trust to walk alongside a spouse in their struggles, and we stand with you in prayer, knowing that our Heavenly Father sees every burden you carry. We are grateful to hear he is showing some improvement, and we believe God is at work even in the small steps of progress.

The journey of mental health is often a winding path, and we recognize the weight of concern you carry for your husband’s well-being, especially as he travels. Mania and anxiety can feel like storms without end, but we declare over him the truth of Psalm 107:29: "He makes the storm be still, and the waves of the sea are hushed." Lord, we ask You to quiet the turbulence within him, to steady his mind, and to fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and let him feel Your presence as a shelter in every moment of his journey.

We also lift up his physical safety as he travels. The roads and skies can be unpredictable, but we trust in Your promise from Psalm 121:7-8: "Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore." Surround him with Your angels, Lord, and guide every step he takes. Protect him from harm, exhaustion, and any temptation that may seek to exploit his vulnerability.

Sister, we want to encourage you as well. The role of a wife who prays and supports her husband through such trials is not an easy one, but it is a holy one. Galatians 6:9 reminds us, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." Your faithfulness in prayer and love is not in vain. Even when the progress feels slow, God is working. Lean on Him for your own strength and peace, knowing He cares for you just as deeply as He cares for your husband.

We also want to gently remind you both of the power of community. While we are grateful to pray from afar, we encourage you to seek out godly counsel, whether through your local church, Christian support groups, or professional Christian counselors, who can walk alongside you both in this season. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." You do not have to carry this burden alone.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of love and concern for this dear brother and his wife. Lord, we thank You for the small improvements You have already brought into his life, and we ask You to continue Your healing work in his mind and heart. Father, we rebuke the spirits of anxiety, mania, and fear that seek to torment him, and we declare that he is covered by the blood of Jesus. Fill him with Your peace, Lord, and let him feel Your presence as a constant companion, especially as he travels.

We pray for his safety, Father. Go before him, behind him, and beside him. Guard him from every danger, seen and unseen, and bring him safely to his destination. Strengthen his body, mind, and spirit, and restore him to a place of health and wholeness. We also lift up his wife, Lord. Give her strength, patience, and unwavering faith as she supports him. Fill her with Your peace and remind her that You are her refuge and strength.

Father, we ask that You would surround this couple with Your love and with a community of believers who can uplift and encourage them. Provide them with wisdom, resources, and godly counsel to navigate this season. We trust in Your goodness, Lord, and we believe that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done in their lives, and may Your name be glorified through their story.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We are so grateful to hear that your husband seems a little better today. Thank you for sharing that with us, and for letting us keep standing alongside you in prayer. It means a lot to know we can continue lifting him up with you.

Traveling while still feeling manic and anxious can be especially hard, the unfamiliar surroundings, the long hours, the lack of normal rest. We want you to know we are asking God to be his steady companion on the road, to calm the inner noise, and to give him moments of clarity and peace even in the middle of the journey. You don’t have to carry the weight of worry alone; we’re here with you, and more importantly, Jesus is right there with him, in every mile and every anxious thought.

We’re also praying for the wisdom and skill of any doctors, counselors, or friends who are part of his care. Sometimes the path toward stability includes both prayer and practical support, and we trust God to use it all. Even the small improvement you noticed today is something to hold onto as a sign of hope. Let yourself receive that kindness from God’s hand.

Lord Jesus, we ask You to watch over this husband as he travels. Quiet his racing thoughts, ease his anxiety, and protect him from any harm. Let him sense Your nearness in a way that brings real comfort. Bring him safely home, steadier and more at peace. And for his wife, would You draw near and calm her fears? Refresh her hope and let her feel surrounded by Your care today. In Your name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The "Oh" in your request reveals the intensity of your desire, and that is a hopeful sign. This anxious enquiry for your husband ploughs deep furrows across your mind, yet you must guard against losing your clearness of thought, for if you become so anxious as to forfeit that, you will not be fit for the emergency.

The great enemy makes a dead set at anxious souls. He it is who digs that Slough of Despond and keeps the dog howling, so that fear may paralyze the hand of faith. But remember, in natural things God gives life and health, though such gifts are not the heart-worship He requires. Your husband’s true need is to find God, to know the health of his countenance in spirit, soul, and body.

He travels a long journey, and we are concerned for those in another land with still more anxious thoughts. Yet those who go far into their own devices often find an expense of health, even rottenness in the bones brought on by the vice of self-reliance. Pray that this anxious desire for his return to a healthier place becomes intense in his own soul, that he may give his eyes no slumber till he finds the Saviour. We will pray him into safety if we can, but he is not safe yet; those almost saved from the wreck are still drowned, and those almost saved from sin are still lost.

Consider the relationship: God is a Husband to His people, setting His special love upon them, communing with them most lovingly, and providing for them as a faithful spouse. Is it right that God should be a Husband unto us, and yet we should not recognize the relation? Your husband’s healing begins when, like backslidden Israel, he returns to his first Husband and his first love. God says, “I will heal their backsliding,” restoring them to perfect health, even presenting them faultless before His presence with exceeding joy.

Fret not, then, over the dangers of the way. Our safety lies in God our Saviour, who is able to keep us from falling. The throne of grace might sooner fail than a saint can perish. Hope in God, for He is the health of his countenance and your God. The visible sign of this health will be seen in his face when the Lord lifts up the light of His countenance upon him. Wait for it with anxious hope, as the disciples in the upper room waited for the promised boon of the Spirit. This very day may the anxiety of Christian friends be excited for him, and then may he be led to be anxious for himself.
