Struggling to survive

I was laid off of my job which had great pay. I was given a check worth 2000 dollars and put on unemployment and sent out the door after 4 years.

I have been putting in applications for work daily and it seems the phone is glued to my ear with calling places back and seeing the status of my application. I feel as if I am cursed, because I have not gotten 1 single call in the past 2 months, no lie, no exaggeration. I have been renting a small house with my girlfriend of 10 years. We are lucky our landlord is understanding of our situation and is giving us time. But time is about to run out. My girlfriend found a job which is almost full time, which helps, but isn't going to get us through. I am praying, and I ask that anyone who see's this to pray for us. With this economy I fear the worst. Please God, if you read this during your busy day, help us. Thank you all. Amen. God Bless everyone on this site.
