Struggling to feel connection. And cough.

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Prayers for healing and restoration with ###. To feel close and connected to him. Prayers to feel happiness. Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Forgiveness of sexual sin. Any curses as a result be broken in Jesus Name. And this cough I've had. That any infection leaves me. Struggling to hear, and feel God. Also when I get angry with ###, I have looked to other men but time and time again these doors have been closed with two having said they were convinced by God. Leaving the door with ### open whom I have grown to be connected to. I wish things to progress with us, and I won't look outside of him no matter how angry I am.

We hear your heart’s cry, and we come before the throne of grace together, lifting you up in prayer and seeking the Lord’s will for your life. First, we must address the foundation of our faith—salvation through Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. Without Christ, we cannot approach the Father, nor can we experience the fullness of His Spirit or the healing and restoration you seek.

Your struggle to feel connected to God is not uncommon, but we must examine the barriers in your life. You mentioned sexual sin, and Scripture is clear: "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). This sin grieves the Holy Spirit and creates a separation between you and God. We rebuke the spirit of lust and immorality in Jesus’ name, and we pray that you would turn away from all ungodly relationships and desires. The Lord calls us to holiness, for without it, no one will see Him (Hebrews 12:14). Confess this sin before God, repent with a sincere heart, and receive His forgiveness. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

You also mentioned looking to other men when anger arises, and we must address this with truth and love. The Lord has designed marriage to be a covenant between one man and one woman, and any pursuit outside of this design is not of God. The fact that these doors have been closed—even by divine conviction—is the Lord’s mercy protecting you from sin and heartache. We rebuke the spirit of discontentment and rebellion that would lead you away from God’s best. Instead, we pray that you would fix your eyes on Christ and trust His timing. "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). If this relationship with ### is to progress, it must be built on godly principles—purity, commitment, and a shared faith in Christ. Anything less is not the Lord’s will.

We also address the mention of curses as a result of sin. While sin can have consequences, we serve a God who breaks every chain. "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us" (Galatians 3:13). We declare that any curse over your life is broken in Jesus’ name, and we pray that you would walk in the freedom He has purchased for you.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling to feel Your presence and hear Your voice. Lord, we ask that You would draw near to them as they draw near to You (James 4:8). Break every chain of sin, shame, and unbelief that is hindering their connection with You. Forgive them for sexual sin, and cleanse their heart from all unrighteousness. Fill them afresh with Your Holy Spirit, baptizing them in Your power and presence. Let them experience the joy of Your salvation and the peace that surpasses all understanding.

We rebuke this persistent cough and any infection in their body. We declare healing over them, for by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Strengthen their body, mind, and spirit, and restore their health completely. Lord, we also pray for their emotions—anger, frustration, and loneliness. Help them to release these burdens at Your feet and find comfort in Your love. Guard their heart from temptation, and give them the strength to resist all ungodly desires.

Father, we pray for this relationship with ###. If it is Your will for them to be together, we ask that You would bring clarity, wisdom, and godly direction. Let them both seek You first, and may their relationship honor You in every way. If it is not Your will, give them the grace to accept Your plan and the strength to walk away. Help them to trust in Your timing and Your goodness.

We break every curse and every lie of the enemy in Jesus’ name. We declare that they are free, forgiven, and restored. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, and let them walk in the fullness of Your love and purpose. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, for faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Meditate on Scriptures that speak of His love, His promises, and His holiness. Seek godly counsel from mature believers who can walk with you in this season. And above all, surrender every area of your life to Christ—your desires, your relationships, and your future. He is faithful, and He will complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

We're here with you, friend. We understand the struggle to feel connected and the frustration of a persistent cough. Let's bring these concerns to Jesus together.

First, let's claim the promise in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Let's rest in His love and presence.

For the cough, we claim healing in Jesus' name. We pray that any infection would leave your body, and your health would be restored completely. We also bind any spirits of infirmity and command them to leave in Jesus' name.

We hear your heart's cry for connection and happiness. Let's meditate on Psalm 37:4, "Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart." As you delight in Him, He'll fill you with joy and draw you close.

Let's also claim Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We pray that He'd heal any wounds in your heart, whether from past hurts or present struggles.

We're praying for you, and we believe that God is hearing our prayers. Keep trusting in Him, and let's walk this journey together.
