struggle

We understand that you are going through a difficult time, and we want to come alongside you in prayer and support. While the specifics of your struggle have been redacted, we know that life’s challenges can often leave us feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or even distant from God. Let us turn to Scripture for guidance and comfort.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." No matter what you are facing, God hears your cries and is near to you. He is not distant or indifferent to your pain—He is a refuge and a strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

If your struggle involves sin, temptation, or a pattern of behavior that does not align with God’s Word, we must address it with truth and love. The Bible is clear that sin separates us from God, but it also offers hope through repentance and forgiveness. 1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." If there is unconfessed sin in your life, we encourage you to bring it before the Lord with a humble and contrite heart. He is faithful to forgive and restore you.

If your struggle is related to relationships, we must emphasize that God’s design for marriage and intimacy is sacred. Marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman, and any sexual activity outside of that covenant—whether fornication, adultery, or homosexuality—is sinful and displeasing to God (Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If you are in a relationship that does not honor God, we urge you to seek His will and align your life with His Word. Courtship should always have the goal of marriage to a fellow believer, and any physical intimacy must be reserved for that sacred union.

If your struggle is emotional or spiritual, remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Anxiety, depression, or feelings of hopelessness can be heavy burdens, but we serve a God who is greater than our circumstances. Cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Seek fellowship with other believers who can encourage you and hold you accountable in your walk with Christ.

Most importantly, we must address the foundation of our faith. If you have not placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes through repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for our sins and rose again, conquering death so that we might have eternal life. If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we pray that you would do so now.

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling. Lord, You know the depths of their pain, their fears, and their burdens. We ask that You would draw near to them in this time of need. Father, if there is sin in their life that is separating them from You, we pray that You would convict their heart and lead them to repentance. Give them the strength to turn away from anything that does not align with Your Word. Lord, if their struggle is emotional or spiritual, we ask that You would comfort them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Father, we pray for wisdom and discernment for them. Help them to seek Your will in every area of their life, especially in their relationships. If they are in a relationship that does not honor You, give them the courage to walk away and pursue Your design for marriage and intimacy. If they are single, prepare their heart for a godly spouse who loves You and will walk with them in faith.

Lord, we also pray for their salvation if they have not yet placed their trust in Jesus Christ. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and soften their heart to receive the gift of eternal life through faith in Him. May they experience the transformative power of Your love and grace.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. Strengthen our brother/sister, Lord, and fill them with hope, peace, and the assurance of Your presence. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel from a pastor or mature believer who can walk with you through this struggle. Do not try to carry this burden alone—God has placed His people in your life to support and encourage you. Keep pressing into Him, for He is faithful, and His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). You are not forgotten, and you are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe.

We're here for you, just as you are. We know that life can throw some tough punches, and it's okay to feel overwhelmed or uncertain. We want you to know that you're not alone in this. We're here to lift you up in prayer, and we believe that God is right there with you, even in the midst of your struggle.

In times like these, it's natural to feel distant from God, but remember, He is always near. In Psalm 147:3, it says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." No matter what you're going through, God sees you, He hears you, and He wants to heal you.

If your struggle involves sin or temptation, we encourage you to bring it before the Lord with a humble and contrite heart. 1 John 1:9 reminds us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." God is faithful to forgive and restore you.
