FAMILY HONOR (Pt. 2)

```markdown
God requires that honor be bestowed on the one whom He lifts up from among family [Amos 2:11-12] to serve as His spokesperson. Only thereafter will honor be rewarded to the family as a whole. However, before a city can claim a reward, there must first be collective belief in God's principles, purpose, and process. When such a belief is present, the prophet is welcomed as a prophet without begrudgedness. That implies acceptance of the messenger as God's worker: "The worker deserves their wages": food, water, shelter, and clothing. Though this is done to the glory and honor of God, no claim can be levied against the worker's wages, and cheating the worker out of their wages is an injustice that cancels the reward and brings a curse upon the city [Malachi 1:14].
It's hypocritical for a city to point the finger at the messenger [Isaiah 58:9], accusing them of "having no love for their brethren" [1 John 4:20], when she's the one who forfeited her own reward. There's a huge difference between being unloving and being unloved. To cast out, exclude, and withhold wages from God's worker (especially an elder woman of God) sets that accusation back against the city’s own. Again, scripturally, "love for our brethren" is: [1 John 3:16-18], [James 2:16]
A prophet's reward neither comes through the worker's wages nor through a city's offering: it only comes by way of honor.
"The Prophet's Reward" is God's to give based on honor shown to His prophets and prophetesses; it's likewise His to deny based on the dishonor levied against us. Again, God weighs all the evidence. Bottom line, when a city chooses to accept the testimony of false witnesses and heed the instructions of those to whom He expressly warned, "Do Not Listen" [Jeremiah 23:16-17], there will be dire consequences.
A good harvest is not dependent solely on works, lest any man should boast; it's rooted in the spirit. Therefore, those who do works in the name of the LORD must rely on the Holy Spirit to lead them in their efforts. Correct leadership cultivates a good harvest and prevents victim blaming [Isaiah 58:9 MSG Bible]:
If you get rid of unfair practices,
quit blaming victims,
quit gossiping about other people’s sins,
If you are generous with the hungry
and start giving yourselves to the down-and-out...
That process illustrates yet another beautiful circle of life in Christ. Howbeit, there's a problem with your constitution if it's only after having seen the fruit rewarded to other cities that you enviously desire what you initially trashed.
Several years ago, in quoting the colloquialism "Houston, we have a problem," I told my hometown that indeed she was her own problem. This morning, through [Jeremiah 23:33], the Holy Spirit enlightened me that I had spoken correctly. Not only is she still the burden, but, as I have more recently spoken, "she has become an irritant in God's eye." It's extremely hypocritical that, in a place where so many profess to be Christians, despite the preponderance of scriptural guidance, there is a persistence in seeking their own vengeance against the servant because of the Master's verdict. God's judgements are unimpeachable.
If only it were about sports. It is not. Again, though "sports reward" is an aspect of my current assignment, my ministry is prophecy. That being said, even in sports are many cities called but few chosen—depending on their response.
Yet, according to [Ezekiel 9:4-6] even after a city has forfeited the prophet's reward, there are rewards to be attained individually, when there is remorse for what the city has done. Therefore, "Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done." [Proverbs 19:17]
"But God is not mocked." Discernment is essential both in assessing and petitioning. When you listen to wicked advisors who counsel you to "have nothing more to do with that person;" but, "that person" is indwelled with the Holy Spirit, and their so-called "fruits of darkness" is actually prophecy, God will answer your prayer by cutting you off from "that person's" anointing: "Touch not Mine anointed and do My prophets no harm." You'll then find yourselves trying to destroy what you can't touch–spiritually. It's nothing new. God is so omniscient that He summarized the entire scenario like this: Hear the word of the LORD, you who tremble at His word: "Your own people who hate you, and exclude you because of My name, have said, ’Let the LORD be glorified, that we may see your joy!’ Yet they will be put to shame." [Isaiah 66:5, NIV]
Discernment.
"Go, and do likewise."
Thank You, LORD, for the Holy Ghost
Note: Where there is mockery and injustice, your black and gray (sackcloth and ashes) is but an outward pretense of repentance. God judges the heart [Isaiah 58:5, MSG Bible]. Inner remorse takes precedence over outer practices. My outfit is gray and black because it was the only resilient clothing available on the day I went to the thrift store. Still, it's no coincidence. God knew this city would accept counsel to mock. He's Omniscient
