We hear the deep ache in your words and the weight of this spiritual battle you’re facing. The loneliness and despair that come when faith feels distant are very real, and we want you to know you are not alone in this struggle, even when it feels that way. The enemy would love nothing more than to isolate you in doubt, but we stand with you in prayer and truth, declaring that God has not abandoned you, even when your feelings say otherwise.
First, we must gently but firmly rebuke the lie that doubt is the end of faith. Even the most devoted followers of Christ have wrestled with questions and uncertainty. The Bible itself records moments of raw honesty before God, think of Job crying out in anguish, David pleading "Why, my soul, are you downcast?" (Psalm 42:5), or Thomas demanding proof before he would believe (John 20:24-29). Doubt does not disqualify you; it can be the very thing that drives you deeper into truth if you bring it to the Lord. But we must also address the root: unbelief is not merely a lack of evidence, it is often a turning away from the light God has already given (John 3:19-20). Have you considered whether there is sin, bitterness, or unresolved pain in your heart that may be clouding your view of Him? The psalmist wrote, "When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long" (Psalm 32:3). Confession and repentance can clear the way for faith to breathe again.
We also must speak plainly about the name of Jesus. You did not mention Him in your request, and this is not an oversight on our part, it is a critical point. There is no access to God except through Christ (John 14:6), and no salvation apart from Him (Acts 4:12). If you are struggling to believe in the Bible, you are ultimately struggling to believe in Him, the Living Word (John 1:1, 14). The Bible is not just a book; it is God’s revelation of Himself, and Jesus is the cornerstone. To reject the Scriptures is to reject the One they testify about. But here is the hope: Jesus does not turn away those who come to Him in honesty. He said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Even if you feel like you’re crawling, come. Even if your faith is the size of a mustard seed, bring it to Him (Matthew 17:20).

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our brother/sister who is wrestling with doubt and unbelief. Lord, You see the pain, the confusion, and the loneliness they feel. We ask that You would break through the darkness with Your light. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Father, we rebuke the spirit of unbelief that is seeking to steal their faith, and we declare that You are the God who raises the dead and calls things that are not as though they were (Romans 4:17). Restore their trust in Your Word, in Your promises, and most of all, in Your Son, Jesus Christ.
Lord, if there is any sin, any unforgiveness, or any area of their life that is not surrendered to You, reveal it to them. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and renew a steadfast spirit within them (Psalm 51:10). Give them the courage to bring their doubts to You, knowing that You are big enough to handle their questions. Surround them with believers who will speak truth in love and walk with them through this valley. Remind them that faith is not the absence of doubt, but the choice to trust You even when they cannot see the way.
We pray for a fresh encounter with Your Holy Spirit, a tangible sense of Your presence that leaves no room for the lies of the enemy. Let them taste and see that You are good (Psalm 34:8). Strengthen their spirit, Lord, and help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). We declare that this season of struggle will not define them, but will instead draw them closer to You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

For many believers doubt does not come as a careful argument but as a wave of feeling, often with a lot of what if questions, and it can come and go. That does not make it less painful, and feeling low or isolated when those thoughts come does not mean you are alone or that your faith is finished. It often means you are in a tender place that needs care and steady support.
It can help to not walk through a morning like this by yourself. If you have a trusted pastor, friend, or family member, consider letting one person know today that you had a hard morning and would value prayer and company. Staying connected in worship with other believers, even quietly, has a way of easing that sense of isolation over time.

Thanks, I don't know what to do because I also give into lust whenever I get the urge and now I don't believe and also give into lust whenever I get the urge so I feel hopeless, I will look at that Frank Tureks podcast. Thanks for your help maybe this is just a long season of testing I will never lose my faith.

Your honest cry has been heard, and I thank you for speaking so plainly about this heavy trial. To wake and find faith wavering, and to feel that depression and loneliness which comes when trust grows dim, is a painful and fearful place to be, and you are right to bring it at once to the Lord and to ask for prayer.
Scripture sets before us the different estimate which God has of unbelief and of faith. Unbelief is God dishonoring and soul killing, a folly which is inconsistent with our own profession and which shuts us out from blessing, for they could not enter in because of unbelief. Yet our Savior is full of tenderness, and so freely forgives, that He looks upon our fault as folly and not as wilful wickedness. He does not take our doubt as an affront to be avenged, but He gently censures it that He may cure it, saying, O you of little faith, why did you doubt.
Faith has the divine approval. Blessed is that man that makes the Lord his trust. Faith is not a mere notion in the head, but a trusting in God, a dropping down into the arms of Christ. God bids you trust Jesus and you shall be saved. Even little faith is precious in His sight. The Holy Spirit is the Creator not of the littleness of our faith, but of our faith, be it ever so little, and our Lord acknowledges the prayer, Lord, I believe, help my unbelief. Between the very lowest degree of faith and a state of unbelief there is a great gulf, and if you have any faith at all in Christ, though it be trembling, He counts it as faith.

May the Holy Spirit maintain your faith in full vigor, for if faith declines the energy of our spiritual nature speedily decays, but faith being strong, no faculty of the inner man will languish. Faith is the shield which quenches the fiery darts, and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. Read the eleventh chapter of Hebrews and see what men gained, what they enjoyed, what they did by faith. Unbelief does nothing, gets nothing, rejoices in nothing, but faith wins the blessing.
We are praying for you now, that the Lord would graciously restore to you a steady, practical, realizing faith which trusts in God from hour to hour, a faith which dwells in the daily wear and tear of life. We ask Him to forgive the sin of unbelief, to increase the little faith you have until it ripens into full assurance, and to let you feel again that to trust Christ is spiritual common sense, for why should you doubt an unwavering promise from an unwavering Savior.
Take your doubt to Christ Himself in prayer, confess it as sin and folly, and ask Him to create and strengthen faith in you. Keep His promises before you, feed upon His Word, and cast yourself anew upon Jesus alone for salvation, for there is no other name by which you must be saved. He is able to keep you from sinking, even as He was able to lift sinking Peter from the waves, and He will not despise a trembling hand laid upon Him.
