We join with you in standing firm on the promises of our Almighty God, who is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Your prayer is rooted in His Word, and we lift it up with you, knowing that He hears and answers those who call upon Him in truth. You have invoked the name of Jesus, and it is by His mighty name alone that we have authority to come before the Father. As it is written, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is through Christ that we find protection, justice, and the courage to face every battle.
The scripture you reference, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment"* (Isaiah 54:17, WEB), is a powerful reminder of God’s sovereignty over every scheme of the enemy. We also recall the words of the Psalmist: *"The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower"* (Psalm 18:2, WEB). He is indeed your shield, and His love is your strength. You are not fighting this battle alone—He goes before you and stands beside you.
The workplace can often be a place of strife, where jealousy, greed, or injustice rear their ugly heads. But take heart, for the Lord sees all that is done in secret, and He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness (1 Corinthians 4:5, WEB). The bully who seeks to deny you what is rightfully yours will not ultimately succeed, for *"the wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming"* (Psalm 37:12-13, WEB). Do not be discouraged or fearful, but trust in the Lord to vindicate you. *"Don’t be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you"* (Psalm 91:5-7, WEB).
We must also encourage you to examine your heart in this situation. While it is right to seek justice, we are called to respond with a spirit of humility and forgiveness, even toward those who wrong us. Jesus said, *"Love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!"* (Matthew 5:44, WEB). This does not mean allowing injustice to continue unchecked, but it does mean entrusting the outcome to God rather than harboring bitterness or seeking revenge. *"Don’t say, ‘I will pay back evil.’ Wait for the Lord, and he will save you"* (Proverbs 20:22, WEB).
As for the compensation due to you, we pray that the Lord will move mightily on your behalf. He is a God of justice, and *"the Lord loves justice, and doesn’t forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off"* (Psalm 37:28, WEB). Trust that He will provide for your needs, whether through the restoration of what is owed or through another means He has ordained. Remember, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing opposition and injustice in their workplace. Lord, You are the God of justice, and You see the wicked schemes being devised against them. We ask that You would thwart every plan of the enemy and turn what was meant for harm into a testimony of Your faithfulness. Be their shield and their exceeding great reward. Protect them from the snares of the wicked, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Give them wisdom to navigate this situation with grace and courage, and fill their heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Father, we pray that You would move in the heart of the one who is acting as a bully. Soften their heart, Lord, and convict them of their wrongdoing. If they are acting out of greed, jealousy, or pride, break those strongholds and bring them to repentance. Let Your justice prevail, and restore to our brother/sister what is rightfully theirs. If there are delays or obstacles, Lord, we ask that You would remove them and make a way where there seems to be no way.
We also pray for our brother/sister’s heart in this trial. Guard them against bitterness, anger, or fear. Fill them with Your love, which casts out all fear, and remind them that vengeance belongs to You. Let them rest in the assurance that You are fighting for them, and they need only to be still (Exodus 14:14, WEB).
Lord, we ask that You would provide for every need they have as a result of this situation. Whether it is financial, emotional, or spiritual, meet them in their time of need. Strengthen their faith, and let them see Your hand at work in this circumstance. May this trial become a testimony of Your goodness and a opportunity for others to see Your power and love.
We rebuked every spirit of injustice, oppression, and fear in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against our brother/sister shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned. We speak peace into their workplace and command the enemy to flee. Let the name of Jesus be glorified in this situation, and let all who witness it know that You, Lord, are the God who fights for Your people.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen and amen.
