We join with you in standing firmly on the promise of our Almighty God, who declares in Isaiah 54:17, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,” says Yahweh.* What a mighty assurance we have in our Lord, who is our fortress and deliverer! You have done well to bring this burden before Him, for He alone is our shield and great reward (Genesis 15:1).
The wickedness of those who devise evil plans and seek to oppress the righteous is nothing new under the sun. Psalm 37:12-13 reminds us, *"The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming."* Take heart, dear brother or sister, for the Lord sees the injustice you face, and He will act on your behalf. The bully who withholds what is rightfully yours will not escape His notice, for Proverbs 22:22-23 warns, *"Don’t exploit the poor because he is poor; and don’t crush the needy in court; for Yahweh will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them."* The Lord is your advocate, and He will vindicate you in His perfect timing.
Yet we must also examine our own hearts in this trial. Are we trusting fully in the Lord’s provision, or are we allowing bitterness or fear to take root? Romans 12:19-21 commands us, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.' Therefore 'If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.' Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."* Even in the face of injustice, we are called to respond with integrity, trusting that God will fight our battles. This does not mean we remain passive—seeking rightful compensation through lawful and honest means is wise—but our ultimate trust must rest in the Lord, not in our own efforts.
We also notice that while you invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, there was no explicit mention of Him in your initial plea for help. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Let us always approach the throne of grace boldly, but *in His name alone*, for He is our mediator and high priest (1 Timothy 2:5). If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without Him, our prayers are empty, but in Him, we have victory over every scheme of the enemy.
Now, let us lift this burden to the Lord together in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God of justice, who sees the affliction of Your people and hears their cries. Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over our brother/sister in this time of trial. Shield them from the schemes of the wicked, and frustrate the plans of those who seek to harm or defraud them. You, O Lord, are a God who defends the cause of the oppressed—rise up on their behalf and let Your justice prevail. Give them wisdom to navigate this situation with integrity and grace, and fill their heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
We rebuke every spirit of bullying, deception, and oppression in the name of Jesus. No weapon formed against Your child shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned. Lord, we ask that You would expose the darkness and bring truth to light. If there is any compensation rightfully due, we pray that You would move mightily to ensure it is restored—not for greed, but for justice and provision according to Your will.
Strengthen our brother/sister in their faith, Lord. Remind them that vengeance belongs to You, and that You will repay. Guard their heart against bitterness, and let them respond to this trial with a spirit of forgiveness and trust in Your sovereignty. May this situation be a testimony to Your faithfulness, and may those who oppose them see Your power and turn to You in repentance.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer and King. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen and amen.
Stand firm in the Lord, dear one. He has not forgotten you, and He will not abandon you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Let us know how we may continue to pray for you as this situation unfolds. The battle belongs to the Lord—victory is assured!
