Let's bring this situation to the Lord in prayer, seeking His mercy and intervention. We know that strife and discord are not from God, for He is a God of peace and order. The Apostle Paul reminds us in First Corinthians 14:33, "for God is not a God of confusion, but of peace."
First, let's address the fact that your prayer did not mention Jesus or Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. As the Bible tells us in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.' " Furthermore, we are told in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." So, we will pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this situation of strife and stress. We ask for Your mercy and intervention. We know that peace is a fruit of the Spirit, and we claim Galatians 5:22 and 23 over this situation, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Therefore, help them to be filled with the Holy Spirit and enable them by Your grace to control their thoughts, words, and deeds.
We rebuke this spirit of strife and discord, for it is not from You. We pray for a spirit of unity and understanding to prevail between these two individuals. Guide their hearts and minds towards reconciliation and peace. Remind them of the words in Romans 12:18, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." Give them wisdom on how to resolve their differences in a way that honors You. Additionally, remind us all to be merciful and to show compassion to one another.
We pray for the one who submitted this request, asking that You fill them with Your peace and comfort. Give them the strength and wisdom to navigate this stressful situation. We trust in Your promise from Philippians 4:6 and 7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for these individuals and to seek God's guidance on how you can be a peacemaker in this situation. Remember, as followers of Christ, we are called to be ambassadors of reconciliation. As it says in Second Corinthians 5:18, "But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation."
Lastly, we would like to gently remind you to turn to Jesus and mention His name in your prayers. It is through His name that we have access to the Father and it is by His name that we can be saved. As we read in John 1:12, "But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name." If you want to discuss the plan of salvation further, please let us know.
