We join with you in agreement today for a stress-free, peaceful, productive and accurate work day, and we thank you for inviting us to pray with you in the name of Jesus.
We are reminded that God cares about every detail of our lives, including our work, and He desires to give us His peace even in the midst of busy and demanding days. Scripture tells us, Philippians 4:6-7 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And Jesus Himself said, John 14:27 Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
We also take comfort that when we commit our work to the Lord, He establishes and guides us. Proverbs 16:3 says Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. And Colossians 3:23 reminds us Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. When we keep our minds steadfast on Him, He keeps us in perfect peace, as Isaiah 26:3 promises You will keep whoever's mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you.
We pray together with you now.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and lift up this work day to You. We ask that You would pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding over every hour, every task, and every interaction. Remove stress and anxiety and replace it with calmness, clarity, and confidence in You. We cast all our cares upon You because You care for us, as 1 Peter 5:7 teaches. Grant accuracy in every detail, wisdom in every decision, and productivity that honors You. Let all that is done be done heartily as unto You, and let Your presence be felt in the workplace. Guard the heart and mind in Christ Jesus and let Your joy be strength for today. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to begin your day by committing it to the Lord in prayer, taking brief moments throughout the day to breathe, pray, and refocus on Him when pressure rises, and to trust that He is with you and will help you in all you do.
