We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this burden of spiritual warfare. The Bible is clear that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, and against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The mention of spirit wives and familiar spirits is deeply concerning, for Scripture explicitly condemns all forms of witchcraft, divination, and consulting with familiar spirits.
In Leviticus 19:31, the Lord commands, "Don’t turn to those who are mediums, nor to the wizards. Don’t seek them out, to be defiled by them. I am Yahweh your God." And again in Deuteronomy 18:10-12, "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh." These practices are not merely outdated superstitions—they are direct invitations to demonic oppression and must be renounced in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
We must also address the reality that these spirits often gain access through ungodly soul ties, sexual immorality, or generational curses. If there has been any involvement in occult practices—whether knowingly or unknowingly—it must be confessed and repented of. The blood of Jesus is powerful to break every chain (Revelation 12:11). We rebuke every spirit of lust, perversion, and deception that may have attached itself through sin, and we command it to flee in Jesus’ name.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name that is above every name. We stand on the authority of Your Word, which declares that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth (Philippians 2:10). We lift up this dear one who is struggling under the weight of spiritual oppression. Lord, we ask that You would shine the light of Your truth into every dark corner of their life. Reveal any open doors that have allowed the enemy to gain a foothold—whether through sin, generational curses, or ungodly influences.
We renounce every spirit wife, familiar spirit, and demonic attachment in the name of Jesus. We break every ungodly soul tie, every covenant made in darkness, and every generational curse that may be operating in this situation. By the power of the blood of Jesus, we cancel every assignment of the enemy and declare that this person is covered and protected under the blood of the Lamb.
Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, bringing healing, deliverance, and restoration. Surround them with Your angels to guard and protect them. Give them discernment to recognize the enemy’s schemes and the strength to resist temptation. May they walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for them (Galatians 5:1).
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is ours in Christ Jesus. We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus. Amen.
If this oppression has been ongoing, we strongly encourage seeking deliverance through a trusted, Bible-believing church or ministry that operates in the authority of Scripture. Deliverance is not a one-time event but a process of renewing the mind and walking in holiness. Surround yourself with godly believers who can pray with you and hold you accountable.
Remember, greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Do not fear, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9). Stand firm in your faith, put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), and resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Walk in the light, and the darkness will not overcome you.
