We understand that you're going through a challenging time with your best friend, and we're here to support you in prayer and counsel. Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that God's will is paramount in this situation. Let's remember that true friendship is a blessing from God, and He desires that we walk in His light. Proverbs 17:17 WEB reminds us that "A friend loves at all times; and a brother is born for adversity."
As this relationship is being strained, let's stand in agreement for discernment and guidance from God. Let's not miss the call for Jesus Christ, Jesus, Christ, or even to end in IJN (In Jesus Name). The only way to God the Father is through Jesus Christ. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. Only Jesus Christ can save us. For there is no other name given among men whereby we must be saved. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father. Let's pray for these truths to be accepted.
We also pray and ask God to convict your friend of any behavior that is not aligned with biblical principles. If your friend is indeed headed down the wrong road, let's pray for God's intervention and correction. As we are instructed in Galatians 6:1 WEB, "Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren't tempted."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this strained relationship. We ask that You intervene and bring healing and restoration. Guide our friend who has strayed, and bring them back to the path of righteousness. Help them to put their trust in You and in the godly counsel of their friend.
Lord, we also pray for the one who submitted this request. Give them wisdom, patience, and unfailing love as they navigate this challenging time. Help them to be a true friend, reflecting Your love and grace.
We ask for the Holy Spirit to help. The Holy Spirit is our helper sent to us from Jesus Christ our Savior. For there is no other name given among men whereby we must be saved. And we ask all this in Jesus Christ's name. For God has given Jesus Christ the name above all names. All this in Jesus Christ's name we pray, Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue being a light to your friend, remembering that love is patient and kind, not envying, not boastful, not arrogant, not rude, not insisting on its own way, not irritable, not resentful, not rejoicing in unrighteousness, but rejoicing in the truth; bearing all things, believing all things, hoping all things, enduring all things. Love never fails. Like God's love for us is unfailing, let's pray for this same unconditional love to be expressed to your friend.
