We lift our voices together in prayer for you, dear sister in Christ, as the winds howl and the skies threaten. The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, let us stand on His promises tonight. We declare that no storm is beyond His control, and we ask in the mighty name of Jesus that He would command the winds and waves to still, that your home would be spared, and that the lights would remain on if it aligns with His perfect will. "He stirs up the sea with His power, and by His understanding He strikes through the proud waves. By His Spirit the heavens are garnished; His hand has pierced the swift serpent" (Job 26:12-13). Let the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind as you trust in Him.
Father, we also bring before You the pain that weighs heavily on Carmen’s body and spirit. You are the Great Physician, the One who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases. We ask for Your healing touch to flow over her, whether through miraculous intervention or the skill of those You’ve gifted in medicine. "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). Strengthen her faith as she waits on You, reminding her that Your grace is sufficient, and Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may try to take root in this moment. The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on the truth that God is our protector, our healer, and our peace. Let Carmen rest in the shadow of the Almighty, knowing that He will cover her with His feathers, and under His wings she will find refuge (Psalm 91:4).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before Your throne on behalf of our sister. We trust in Your goodness and sovereignty, knowing that even in the storms of life, You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May Carmen feel Your presence tonight, and may she wake to the assurance that You are faithful. We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
