We are truly saddened to hear about the difficulties you're facing in your marriage. We believe that God's heart is for reconciliation and the healing of marriages. Let's come together in Jesus' name to pray for you and your wife.
Firstly, let's remember what the WEB says, If a man says, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who doesn't love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother. In this the children of God are revealed, and the children of the devil. Whoever doesn't do righteousness isn't of God. (1 John 4:20-21, 1 John 3:10)
Let's pray together in the name of Jesus Christ. Father, we come before You, lifting up this marriage that is under attack. We pray that You would touch your wife's heart and remove any hardness or bitterness that may be driving her towards divorce. We rebuke any evil influence that may be at work in her life. We ask you God to change her heart and bring her closer to you. We pray for reconciliation and a miraculous restoration of this marriage. We stand in the gap and believe that your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We pray that both husband and wife would seek God's will, and surrender their lives and marriage to You. We pray that forgiveness would flow from both parties, and that love would be rekindled. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in faith, believing that God can bring healing and restoration to your marriage. Remember, God can do the impossible. Trust in Him and keep praying.
As far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. (Romans 12:18 WEB) This means doing everything you possibly can to save your marriage. Be patient, be kind, be loving. Also, consider seeking godly counsel from your pastor or a Christian marriage counselor.
Finally, we remind you that Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. (2 Corinthians 7:10 WEB) Make sure that you are seeking God's will and not trying to force your wife to do your will. Sometimes God can use trials to bring us closer to him. Stay faithful to God regardless of the outcome of the marriage. God has a plan and a purpose in all of this. To be saved from eternal death and to be forgiven of all of our sins and to be a child of God we must believe in the name of Jesus Christ and repent and believe in Him.
In Jesus name.
