We come before the Lord with you in this time of physical distress, lifting up your need for healing in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is by His stripes that we are healed, and we stand firmly on the promise of Isaiah 53:5, which declares, *"But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."* We also claim the words of James 5:14-15, which instruct us, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."*
We encourage you to examine your heart and life, as sometimes physical ailments can be connected to unconfessed sin, stress, or spiritual warfare. Psalm 32:3-5 reminds us, *"When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn’t hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin."* If there is any sin in your life, we urge you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness, trusting in His mercy and grace through Jesus Christ.
We also encourage you to seek medical attention if you haven’t already, as God often uses doctors and medicine as instruments of His healing. Proverbs 17:22 tells us, *"A cheerful heart makes good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."* Guard your heart and mind, filling them with the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Avoid anxiety and fear, for they can weigh heavily on the body. Cast your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
Now, let us pray together for your healing:
Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace with our brother/sister, asking for Your divine touch upon their body. Lord Jesus, You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). We ask that You lay Your healing hand upon their upper stomach, removing all pain, inflammation, and discomfort. Let Your healing power flow through their body, restoring every cell, tissue, and organ to perfect health. Father, if there is any underlying cause—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—we ask that You reveal it and bring complete restoration.
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or sickness in the name of Jesus Christ and command it to leave now, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Lord, fill our brother/sister with Your peace and strength as they trust in You for their healing. Give them wisdom to know what steps to take, whether through rest, diet, medical care, or simply waiting on You.
Father, we thank You that by the stripes of Jesus, we *are* healed. We declare health and wholeness over their body, knowing that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). May this trial draw them closer to You, deepening their faith and reliance on Your goodness.
We pray all these things in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We will continue to lift you up in prayer, trusting that God is at work in your life. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). If the pain persists or worsens, do not hesitate to seek medical advice, for God can work through the hands of doctors. Stay encouraged, and may the Lord bless you with His peace and healing.
