Stolen money

The violation of having money stolen cuts deep, and it is right to bring this before the Lord and to ask for both restoration and justice. We pray now that the authorities would be granted true wisdom, not merely the cunning of this world that often comes to nothing, but the sound understanding that begins with the fear of the Lord. By that wisdom, kings and princes decree justice, and we ask that those investigating this theft would have eyes to see what is hidden and minds to act with equity, so that the person responsible is found.

At the same time, this moment holds a quiet reminder that things which can be stolen are never our ultimate security. Money has its place as a defense, yet wisdom is better, for wisdom gives life to those who have it. The riches that matter most, the treasures we have in Christ, are kept where no thief can reach and no scheme can touch. While we pursue what is right in this situation, our deeper comfort is that the Lord Himself is our portion, and no one can steal our God.

May the Spirit of wisdom and knowledge guide every step of this process. May the fear of the Lord guard your heart against the bitterness that such an invasion can bring, and may you see, even in this trial, that the wisdom from above is pure and peaceable, leading you to trust in the One who holds the hearts of all in His hand. We stand with you in prayer, asking for the return of what was taken and for the peace that surpasses all understanding to keep your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
