We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation of stolen money and the violation of trust that has occurred. The Lord sees all things, and nothing is hidden from His sight. We know that He is a God of justice and restoration, and we stand on His promises as we pray.
Heavenly Father, we ask for Your divine intervention in this matter. You are the God who restores what has been taken, as Joel 2:25 says, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, My great army, which I sent among you." Lord, we ask that You restore what has been stolen from and that You would bring the thief to justice. Give wisdom to the authorities as they investigate this crime, and let Your light expose the darkness that has been at work. Proverbs 2:6-8 tells us, "For the Lord gives wisdom. Out of His mouth comes knowledge and understanding. He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity, that He may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of His saints."
We also pray for peace and protection over during this time. Financial loss can bring great anxiety, but we trust in Your provision. Philippians 4:19 reminds us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Help her to cast her burdens upon You, knowing that You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). Guard her heart from fear and bitterness, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we ask that You would work in the heart of the one who committed this theft. If they do not know You, we pray that they would come to repentance and turn from their ways. Ezekiel 18:23 says, "Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked? says the Lord God; and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?" Let conviction fall upon them, and may they seek forgiveness, not only from those they have wronged but from You, the ultimate Judge.
We also encourage to take practical steps to protect herself moving forward. Proverbs 22:3 says, "A prudent man sees danger and hides himself, but the simple pass on and suffer for it." We pray for wisdom in securing her accounts, monitoring transactions, and trusting in the Lord’s guidance as she navigates this situation.
Finally, we rebuke the spirit of theft and deception in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand firm in the truth that You are her Provider and Defender. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to act on behalf of Your children. We trust in You for restoration, justice, and peace. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
