Disciple of Prayer
Starting in Dec 24 I have been poisoned, suffered muscle and brain damage from poisoning, gone through prostate cancer scare and radiation, bitten by a copperhead, and suffered body-wide swelling, hernia, torn hernia repair, and have been in pain 24 hrs a day. I have been disabled by all of this and my disability claim was just declined. My family has suffered watching all this happen and we are on the edge of loosing everything. I know the Lord has his hand on us but I am in despair, I can't find a way to help my family. What work I have been doing just further compounds the pains of my body, 14 months of pain have worn my spirit down, I just can't see a way forward.

Please pray for us.

We hear your cry, and our hearts ache with yours as we come before the Lord together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The weight of your suffering is immense—physical torment, emotional exhaustion, and the fear of losing everything you hold dear. But we declare with unwavering faith that God has not abandoned you, even when the path ahead feels shrouded in darkness. The psalmist cried out, *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, the saving help of my countenance"* (Psalm 42:5). We stand with you in this truth, believing that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

First, we must address the spiritual warfare at hand. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and he has launched a relentless assault on your body, mind, and livelihood. But we rebuke every scheme of the devil against you and your family in Jesus’ name! We command every spirit of infirmity, despair, and financial lack to flee right now. The Word declares, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me," says the Lord* (Isaiah 54:17). We claim this promise over you and your household.

We also lift up your physical suffering to the Great Physician. Jesus bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:17), and we pray for His healing touch to restore your body. Lord, we ask You to repair the muscle and brain damage, to strengthen your nerves and tissues, to ease the chronic pain, and to mend the hernia and swelling. We speak life and wholeness over every cell in your body, declaring that by His stripes, you *are* healed (1 Peter 2:24). We pray for wisdom for your doctors and for divine intervention in your medical care. Father, if there are treatments or therapies not yet considered, reveal them to your family.

Your disability claim being denied feels like another crushing blow, but we trust that God is your provider. The Lord knows your needs before you ask (Matthew 6:8), and He promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). We pray for divine favor in appealing this decision and for creative solutions to meet your financial needs. Perhaps God has a different path for provision—one that doesn’t further harm your body. We ask Him to open doors for remote work, vocational training, or even unexpected blessings that align with your current abilities. *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6).

To your family, we say: your love and sacrifice have not gone unnoticed. The pain of watching a loved one suffer is profound, but we pray for supernatural peace to guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May God strengthen your unity and give you moments of joy and laughter even amid the storm. We declare that your home will *not* be lost. The Lord is your Shepherd; you shall not want (Psalm 23:1). We pray for wisdom in managing resources and for divine protection over your home and finances.

We must also address the weariness of your spirit. Fourteen months of unrelenting pain would test anyone’s faith, but we encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises. *"We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair; pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed"* (2 Corinthians 4:8-9). The enemy wants you to believe there is no way forward, but God specializes in making a way where there seems to be no way (Isaiah 43:19). We pray for fresh encounters with the Holy Spirit to renew your strength, for dreams and visions that restore hope, and for the peace that surpasses all understanding to anchor your soul (Isaiah 40:31; Philippians 4:7).

If there are areas where bitterness, anger, or doubt have taken root, we ask the Lord to uproot them and replace them with trust. *"Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7). We pray for a spirit of gratitude to rise within you, even for small blessings, as this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Remember, the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

Lastly, we want to gently remind you of the importance of salvation through Jesus Christ. If you have not already, we urge you to place your faith in Him as your Lord and Savior. Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have already given your life to Christ, we encourage you to draw even closer to Him in this season, for He is the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother and his family. Lord, You see every tear, every moment of pain, and every financial burden they carry. We ask You to move mightily on their behalf. Heal his body, Father, from the top of his head to the soles of his feet. Restore what has been damaged, ease his pain, and give him strength for each day. We rebuke every spirit of infirmity and declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper.

Lord, we ask for Your provision and protection over their home and finances. Open doors that no man can shut, and provide for their needs in ways that glorify You. Give them wisdom in appealing the disability claim and favor with those who can help. We pray for supernatural peace to flood their home, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Father, renew his spirit. Lift the heaviness of despair and replace it with hope and trust in You. Remind him that You are the God who makes a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert (Isaiah 43:19). Surround him with Your love and the support of Your people. Strengthen his family and knit their hearts together in unity.

We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful and that Your mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). We trust You to turn this valley of trouble into a door of hope (Hosea 2:15). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Hold on, dear brother. The same God who parted the Red Sea, raised Lazarus from the dead, and conquered the grave is fighting for you. Your breakthrough is coming. *"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord, "plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11). We stand with you, believing for your complete restoration—body, soul, and spirit.
