Stifling heat

We hear your cry in this stifling heat and we join with you in bringing these burdens before the Lord together in Jesus name. Difficulty breathing and stomach pains are distressing, and we understand how the heat and concern about mosquitoes and upcoming appointments and meetings can weigh heavily on you.
We are reminded that our bodies are precious to God and He is our healer and keeper. Scripture tells us He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases in Psalm 103:3 and that He will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds in Jeremiah 30:17. We also take comfort that The Lord is your keeper, The Lord is your shade on your right hand, The sun will not harm you by day in Psalm 121:5-6, and that we can bring every anxiety to Him, for in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God in Philippians 4:6-7. Jesus Himself invites us Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest in Matthew 11:28, and we cling to Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you in Isaiah 41:10.
We pray together for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this need for relief from the oppressive heat, for ease in breathing and for healing of stomach pains. Touch this body with Your healing hand, bring coolness, rest and comfort, and restore strength. We ask for Your protection outdoors, that You would keep mosquitoes from stinging and causing harm, for You are our refuge and shelter. We also place the appointments and the meeting event into Your hands, Lord, asking that You would open doors in Your perfect timing, provide the means to attend, or make a way even if it must be delayed, and let Your will be done. Grant peace where there is worry, and help us to trust You with each detail. We thank You that You hear us because we come through Jesus Christ Your Son. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to care for your body as the temple of the Holy Spirit, to stay hydrated, to seek shade and coolness where possible, to rest, and to use wise measures for protection outdoors. If the difficulty breathing or stomach pains persist or worsen, please seek medical care promptly, trusting that God often works through the help He provides. We will continue to keep you in prayer for healing, protection and peace as you wait on the Lord.

We are holding you in prayer as you face this stretch of stifling heat. When breathing feels difficult and stomach pain lingers, it wears you down quickly, and we hear how heavy this feels with the worry about being outdoors and mosquitoes, plus not being sure you will be able to make an appointment or meeting event soon.
We are asking the Lord to bring you relief and to give you wisdom for what is right in front of you. Because trouble breathing and ongoing stomach pain deserve prompt attention, we gently encourage you to reach out to a medical provider or clinic alongside prayer, and to let someone near you know how you are doing so you are not carrying this alone. If you are able, letting the person in charge of the appointment or event know you are unwell may also ease some pressure and help with rescheduling.
Father, we bring our friend to You in this heat and discomfort. Please bring ease to breathing, calm to the stomach, and protection while outdoors. Provide the help and care that is needed, guide decisions about appointments and gatherings, and grant rest and peace in the days ahead. We ask in Jesus name, Amen.

Beloved of All
The stifling heat and the difficulty in breathing and the pains of the body have been laid before the throne of grace, and we join our petitions with yours that the Lord would look upon you in mercy.
There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things as it were about Christ, are full of healing virtue. The Scripture saith, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people with healing in His wings, they have no need to say they are sick, for pardon and healing are one in His hand. Tell the case to Jesus just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor. He is ready to hear it all and to consider it. Make a confidant of Jesus, for there is healing in the very touch of His hand, and these healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before.
We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician for our healing. While you wait for an appointment, seek the Lord who healeth all our diseases, and use such means as Providence affords to keep the body from further harm. He who feeds the sparrows will also furnish you with what you need, and He knows your frame and the oppression of the heat.
Let us pray together. O Lord Jesus, our heavenly Physician, look upon this suffering one who labors to breathe and endures pain within. Lay Thy healing hand upon the body, ease the stomach, open the breath, and temper the heat that now oppresses. Keep from the sting and fever of the mosquito when outdoors, and spread Thy protecting care over all the hours of exposure. Grant wisdom and opportunity for needful help from the physician, and if it be Thy will, restore strength to keep appointment and meeting as duty requires. Let the virtue that flowed from Thee in Galilee flow now, for Thou art still able to heal and still willing to save. Give rest, give patience in affliction, and let this trial draw the heart nearer to Thyself, where there is both pardon and healing. Hear us for Thy great mercy's sake. Amen.

Beloved of All
Your prayer has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the Lord Jesus.
We understand how heavy this trial feels, the stifling heat that makes it hard to breathe, the pain in your stomach, and the worry about mosquitoes and about not being able to keep an appointment or attend a meeting. God sees your body and your distress, and He cares for both your physical needs and your soul.
We pray for you now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we ask for Your mercy on this dear one who is suffering. Ease the heat and grant coolness and rest. Touch the lungs and grant easier breathing, and calm the stomach pains. Protect from harm outdoors and from mosquito stings, and keep in safety. Grant wisdom for practical care, for water and rest and shelter from the heat, and open the way for needed medical help and for the appointments and gatherings that feel uncertain right now. If it is Your will, bring healing quickly, and in all things give peace and trust in Your care.
Scripture reminds us that our bodies are subject to weakness and pain in this life, and even faithful servants like Timothy knew frequent infirmities of the stomach. The Lord does not despise the suffering of the body but uses even these trials to draw us closer to Him, to brace our souls and teach us to depend on Him. At the same time He is the true physician who heals and restores, as Christ healed the paralytic and lifted him up.
Continue to call upon the Lord, for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved, and He hears those who trust in Him. Use what simple means you have for relief, seek care when you are able, and rest in His love while you wait. We will keep praying that He will strengthen you, guard you, and provide for every need according to His good will.
May the Lord grant you relief, protection, and peace. Amen.

Beloved of All
I am praying for you in this stifling heat and in the pain you described. Difficulty breathing and pain in the stomach are very distressing, and I understand your concern about not being able to get to an appointment or a gathering soon, and about being outdoors with mosquitoes.
I want to bring your physical suffering to the Lord for His healing touch. The Bible shows us that Jesus healed in different ways. Sometimes He healed with only a word, sometimes with a touch, and sometimes there was a point of contact where faith was released and His power went forth. There are also times when healing was felt immediately in the body, and other times when healing came slowly through a process over time. In either way, healing is a sovereign work of God in His hands.
Please do not carry any guilt if relief does not come instantly. Good people suffer with sickness and pain, and that does not mean God is causing it or that you lack faith. All pain and sickness in this world are indirectly the result of sin being in the world. If there were no sin there would be no pain, but because the world is fallen these things affect us all. God's ways are beyond our finding out, and we do not know why He heals some quickly and others over time. It is wrong to place the burden of blame on the person who is sick. We can simply trust His love and His wisdom.
Scripture tells us that Jesus Himself has borne our pain and our sickness, and He understands suffering in the deepest place. The Bible even speaks of the deepest emotions being felt in the stomach, and God knows that deep inward distress you feel when breathing is hard and your stomach hurts. He is compassionate toward you right now.
I am asking the Lord to ease your breathing, to calm the pain in your stomach, to give you relief from the oppressive heat, and to protect you from harm outdoors. I am also asking Him to provide for your needs regarding the appointment and the meeting you are concerned about, and to give you wisdom and peace as you wait. If you are able to seek medical care, please do so when you can, and trust that God can work both through His direct touch and through the help He provides.
Father, in the name of Jesus I lift up this dear one to You. You see the heat, the struggle to breathe, and the pain in the stomach. Lay Your healing hand upon this body and bring comfort and strength. Guard from further affliction outdoors and grant protection. Give peace about the appointments and needs ahead, and let Your presence be felt as real help and relief. We trust Your sovereign care and Your love, and we ask this in Jesus name, amen.
