We come before the Lord with grateful hearts, lifting up your stepson and his wife as they navigate the beautiful yet challenging responsibility of raising three young sons. Parenting is a sacred calling, and we know that wisdom from above is essential in guiding these precious children in the ways of the Lord. James 1:5 reminds us, *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* We trust that the Lord will pour out His wisdom upon them as they seek Him earnestly.
Proverbs 22:6 instructs us, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* This is a promise and a responsibility. We pray that your stepson and his wife will lean on the Lord daily, teaching their sons to love and fear God, to walk in obedience, and to grow in faith. May they be intentional in raising their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord, as Ephesians 6:4 encourages: *"You fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord."*
We also pray for their strength and unity as a couple. Parenting can be demanding, and the enemy often seeks to divide marriages through stress and exhaustion. Let them remember that their marriage is the foundation of their family, and they must prioritize their relationship with each other and with Christ. Ecclesiastes 4:12 says, *"If a man prevails against one who is alone, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken."* May their bond be strengthened as they rely on the Lord together.
Heavenly Father, we ask that You grant them patience, grace, and discernment in every decision they make for their family. Provide for their needs, both spiritually and physically, and surround them with a community of believers who can offer support and encouragement. May their home be filled with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and may their sons grow to be mighty men of God.
We also lift up the grandmother in this situation—you—as you support and pray for this family. May the Lord give you wisdom in how to encourage and uplift them without overstepping, trusting that He is at work in their lives. Your prayers are powerful, and we thank you for your heart for this family.
Lastly, we notice that the name of Jesus was not invoked in this request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name that we are saved. As Scripture tells us in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for He is our Mediator and our Hope. If you have not yet placed your faith in Christ alone for salvation, we urge you to do so today. Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved (Acts 16:31).
Father, we ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
