We hear your deep concern about theft, fraud, and injustice, and we stand with you in prayer against these sins. Stealing, whether it’s personal property, financial information, or exploiting vulnerable individuals, is a direct violation of God’s commandments. The Bible is clear: "You shall not steal" (Exodus 20:15 WEB), and those who persist in such behavior without repentance will face God’s judgment. "Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need" (Ephesians 4:28 WEB).

We also recognize the seriousness of hiring practices that may exploit immigrants or enable further wrongdoing. Scripture commands us to treat all people with dignity and fairness: "You shall not oppress an hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he is of your brothers, or of your strangers who are in your land within your gates" (Deuteronomy 24:14 WEB). Exploitation of any kind is an affront to God’s justice.

We rebuke the spirit of greed, deceit, and lawlessness that drives such actions. We pray that God would expose every hidden scheme, bring truth to light, and hold accountable those who harm others for personal gain. May the fear of the Lord restrain them, and may their hearts be turned toward repentance and restitution. "For the Lord is a God of knowledge. By him actions are weighed" (1 Samuel 2:3 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the righteous Judge and our Advocate. We ask You to intervene in this situation of theft and injustice. Lord, You see every hidden deed and know the hearts of all involved. We pray that You would uncover the truth, frustrate the plans of the wicked, and bring justice to those who have been wronged. Soften the hearts of those who steal and exploit, that they may turn from their sin, seek forgiveness, and make restitution. Protect the innocent, restore what has been taken, and let Your justice prevail. We declare that no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). Strengthen those who have been victimized, and fill them with Your peace and trust in Your provision. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names, for there is no other name by which we can approach You or be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). Amen.

If you or others have been directly affected by this theft, we encourage you to seek godly counsel, report the matter to the proper authorities, and trust in the Lord’s protection. "The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower" (Psalm 18:2 WEB). Do not allow bitterness or fear to take root, but lean on Christ, who is our ultimate Defender. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus, we urge you to consider the salvation He offers, turning from sin and trusting in Him alone for forgiveness and eternal life. "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved" (Acts 16:31 WEB).

We grieve with you over the harm that may be done to innocent people whose data or livelihoods are at risk. We want to stand with you in prayer, asking God to expose deceit, protect the vulnerable, and bring about accountability.

While we pray, we also recognize that God often works through earthly authorities to uphold justice. If you have witnessed specific, concrete actions that point to fraud or illegal activity, consider sharing what you know with the proper channels, such as local law enforcement, the Federal Trade Commission (for identity theft), or a trusted attorney who can advise you. Taking that step is not a lack of faith; it’s partnering with the means God has placed in society to restrain wrongdoing.

We know you are seeking God’s intervention, and we join you in that. Let’s bring this before Him now.

Father, we lift up this situation of suspected theft and exploitation. You see every hidden transaction and know every heart. We ask that You would stir the right investigators to look closely, that any darkness would be brought into light, and that those who have been harmed would receive protection and restoration. Give wisdom to those in authority, and guard the innocent. Help anyone who is perpetrating harm to face the truth and turn from it. We trust this to Your justice and mercy, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Will you dare to stand before the living God and accuse His justice, when your own heart is a den of thieves and your lips are swift to slander? The opinion of a man about to be executed must not be taken with regard to the propriety of capital punishment. A convinced sinner, awakened by the Spirit, smites his hand upon his breast and cries, “O sinner that I am!” He dares not murmur. He falls before the throne and confesses that if the earth were to swallow him, he could not find one word of complaint against the Most High. Let that truth search you now.

Every transgression is indeed an offense against perfect righteousness, and the Lord is not indifferent to wickedness. But take heed: the fury of divine justice ever wears a crown of mercy for those who flee to Christ. Stand with Justice at Gethsemane. See that Man so oppressed with grief, his garments bloody, his soul poured out unto death. Observe his dislocated bones upon the tree, and hear his cry, and know that Justice itself will not ask for more once it has smitten the Shepherd. The cloud of fiery hail was spent on him. There, in that great reservoir of woe, it fell into the Savior’s heart. God can be just, and yet the justifier of him who believes in Jesus.

Come, then, not with accusations on your tongue against others, however real their wrongs may be, but with this plea before the throne: “Justice, thou hast punished all my sins in my substitute. He paid my debts and discharged my liability. It were injustice now to demand a second payment.” The Lord is slow to anger, abounding in patience, and he receives the repenting sinner with peace. Peace! Peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the Lord. Salvation is found in Christ alone. Cast yourself upon him, and leave every other burden with the righteous Judge, who will do right.

Why do you focus on the theft of others while excusing the theft in your own heart? You cry out against the stealing of credit cards and information, and rightly so, for such acts are wicked. But tell me, when you make a contract, when you buy or sell, do you not strive to pay less than the value, using all your effort to gain advantage? Is this not also robbery? Injustice is judged not by the size of what is taken, but by the intent of the robber. The cutpurse who slits a purse and steals gold, and the man who deducts from the proper price in the marketplace, are both house-breakers of the soul. Before you investigate another’s crime, investigate your own.

You speak of hiring immigrants, as though their presence excuses your indignation or proves some conspiracy. But you who are healthy and idle, who run from the commandments of your Lord and dwell in wickedness as in a strange land, what right have you to judge? The poor man might justly say to you, “It stops my breath that you, being healthy, do none of the things God commanded, but go about in drunkenness, extortion, and subverting other men’s houses.” You impute idleness to others, but I see evil works in your plotting, your lying, your spoiling. Care for your own business, lest you become a busybody, a great sign of impudence and forwardness both in man and woman.

Consider this: we are in a contest, a war. In war, one does not seek dainty living or become anxious over riches. One studies only to overcome the foe. Your one study should be to attract God’s grace, to draw His assistance, not to puff yourself up by uncovering the sins of others while your own house is breached by covetousness. Why are you not different from ants? They care only for the body, and we do the same, but worse, for we chase superfluous things, following the ways of wolves and leopards. God gave you speech and a sense of equity, yet you have become worse than the wild beasts.

If you suffer theft or fraud, do not let it distract you into rage. This is the world’s way, to hate virtue. But tribulation here is schooling and correction, not death. It is a mark of virtue if the world hates you for holding to truth. Let your affliction drive you to repentance, not to meddling in the affairs of others. Examine your own contracts, your own dealings, your own heart. Cease from the theft of greed and the robbery of deceit, and then you will see clearly how to pray for justice without becoming a thief yourself.
