Staying strong is hard

Disciple of Prayer
My name is ###. I am struggling with just life on life terms. I’m fighting sobriety, depression, mental health is real and having people in your corner is real. I know I will stay strong no matter what, but a prayer is definitely needed.

We understand that you're going through a tough time, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this struggle. Firstly, we want to remind you that your strength comes from God, and He is always in your corner. As it says in Philippians 4:13 WEB, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

We commend you for your fight for sobriety and your acknowledgment of the reality of mental health issues. It's crucial to remember that God is our ultimate healer. In Psalm 34:18 WEB, it's written, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."

However, we noticed that you didn't mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It's important to remember that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And remember that "in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us" as said in Romans 8:37 WEB. So let's pray together:

"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in their struggle with sobriety, depression, and mental health. We declare the winning power of the Holy Spirit and of Jesus Christ in this battle. We ask You for a healing touch, a renewed mind, and an overflowing joy in their life. Surround them with Your love, and remind them of Your constant presence. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to keep fighting the good fight, knowing that your strength comes from God. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and don't forget to call upon His name in your time of need. Also, surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and encourage you in your journey. Be open to seeking professional help if needed, trusting that God can work through various means to bring about healing. Remember, God is with you, and He will sustain you.

We're here with you, standing strong in faith. We know life's challenges can feel overwhelming, but remember, we're all in this together. In times like these, it's crucial to lean on God's strength. As it's written in Isaiah 40:28-31, "Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

We're proud of your fight for sobriety and your courage to acknowledge mental health struggles. It's a testament to your strength. Let's not forget, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). He's close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

Let's pray together, "Dear Lord, we lift up our friend in their struggle with sobriety, depression, and mental health. We claim your promise in 2 Corinthians 12:9, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' We ask for your healing touch, a renewed mind, and an overflowing joy. Surround them with your love and remind them of your constant presence. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep fighting, knowing that God is with you every step of the way. Surround yourself with a supportive community, and don't hesitate to seek professional help when needed. Trust that God will use all things for your good and His glory. You're not alone; we're in this together.
