Hey Standers,

There has been something on my heart all day long and I just wanted to share it with all of you.

Today I want to talk to you all about forgiveness and unconditional love.

So many of us are living, right now and at the moment, without our spouses. Everywhere we look people are giving us advice on what we should do. People are saying we should divorce our spouses and move on. Some are saying show them "tough" love. Some of the people saying these things are supposed to be men and women of God. Always remember that what God places on your heart will always come to pass. Gods promises always stand regardless of what other people say. What God says ALWAYS stands.

In the Bible our Father says to believe in his Son Jesus, to forgive one another, and to love one another. Nowhere does He tell us to show "tough" love, to hold a grudge or to toss aside the teachings of Jesus for the beliefs and opinions of other people.

One of the toughest things to do is to forgive. But we must because we are commanded to do so and to receive forgiveness we must give it first. That includes our spouses and any other people that may have hurt us.

The next time you have the chance to show unconditional love to your spouse or anyone else that has hurt you, do it. They may not respond the way you want them to, but its not about that, its about following what God tells us to do and knowing that He will reward you for it greater than your spouse ever could. If you don't have the pleasure of speaking to your spouse right now or a certain loved one thats o.k, pray for them, it's the greatest gift and showing of love you could give them anyway.

Don't worry about showing your spouse "tough" love. We are Christians, followers of Christ, and as followers of Christ we sin and disappoint God every single day. But even though we disappoint God on a daily bases he doesn't show us "tough" love. As a matter of fact not only do we disappoint God but we then turn around and ask him for blessings and what does God do? He forgives us, loves us and blesses us regardless of what we have done to hurt him and let him down. If we hurt God and he forgives us than what gives us mere human beings the right to judge and show "tough" love when someone hurts and disappoints us.

We are standers. We are standing for Christ. We are standing for our spouses and our marriages. We are asking for God to bring our spouses home by using his all powerful love, might, and mercy. Our spouses aren't going to come back to Christ or to our marriages and families by threatening them, showing them "tough" love, or laying out ultimatums. They will only be saved, restored, reunited and renewed by our loving faithful Lord having mercy on us and answering our cries and prayers to him.

Remember, no spiritual battle can be won with human hands or tactics. Only the hands of God can bring peace, love, salvation, reuniting, and restoration back to our homes and families.

Keep praying, standing, believing and showing love to those who have hurt you.

Ronnie

"But I say to you+ who hear, Love your+ enemies, do good to those who hate you+,

bless those who curse you+, pray for those who despitefully use you+.

To him who strikes you on the [one] cheek offer also the other; and from him who takes away your cloak don't withhold your coat also.

Give to everyone who asks you; and of him who takes away your goods don't ask [for them] back.

And as you+ would that men should do to you+, do+ to them likewise.

And if you+ love those who love you+, what thanks do you+ have? For even sinners love those who love them.

For even if you+ do good to those who do good to you+, what thanks do you+ have? Even sinners do the same.

And if you+ lend to them of whom you+ hope to receive, what thanks is it to you+? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive again as much.

But love your+ enemies, and do [them] good, and lend, never despairing; and your+ reward will be great, and you+ will be sons of the Most High: for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.

Be+ merciful, even as your+ Father is merciful."

Luke 6:27-36
