Hey guys,
I found this in my inbox today and decided to share it with you all.
Still standing for my wife and with all of you for your spouses,
Ronnie.
God Is Never Late Nor Tardy!!
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine
heart: wait, I say, on the LORD – Psalm 27:14
While most of you await healing and restoration, one of your greatest
fears is fear of tomorrow. If we place our confidence in God's power
we have nothing to fear. God has given us His Word that He will take
care of our tomorrows if we simply put our trust in Him.
The reason that we, many times do not see or feel the Lord is that we
are not waiting on the Lord. We are still on our own timetable and we
are still running ahead of God and hoping He will catch up to our
plans. But that is not how God works. He doesn't change just because
we are anxious and He does not hurry just because we are impatient.
My friend, I do not doubt that your trial is real, that your burden
is heavy, or that your discouragement is deep. But put your eyes upon
this promise. When we wait courageously on the Lord, He will
strengthen our hearts. God is never late and He is never tardy.
Many may be asking, "When will God come through for me?" Wait on the
Lord. "When will this ciscumstance end?" Wait on the Lord. "How can I
survive this ordeal?" Wait on the Lord. "How will the Lord make this
crooked path straight?" Wait on the Lord. Wait, I say, on the Lord.
If we want God's plan for our future to manifest itself, we cannot
worry in the present. Many times we try to put a date on healing and
restoration; advising God to heal and restore on such and such date.
We need not be anxious. We need to trust God to do this in His
perfect timing.
It seems the more we try to "set" a time for God to respond, the less
He does. Allowing God to move in His timing takes total obedience and
submission on our part. We cannot control God. God rescues, delivers,
heals, restores and moves, in His timing. God has a set time. He
knows from the beginning what the end is going to be.
The Bible teaches us that we are going to suffer in many different
ways. And when we suffer, let us remember these three important
principles: (a) If we are faithful, God is present, even when He
seems far away; (b) God's timing is perfect, even when He appears
late; and © During our times of suffering, the most important thing
to do is keep our faith and trust in God.
God is always on time, He is never late.
