Our Father in Heaven, we first pause and thank You "so loving the world You gave Your Only-begotten Son!, Jn 3:16. Thank You "Jesus showed us The Father -- Your Nature," Jn 14:9. May we honor and know You in every Name You have revealed about Yourself in The Scriptures -- Elohim, Gen 1:1; The Name, Gen 4:26, El Elyon, God Most High, Gen 14:18, Adonai, Lord, Master, Gen 15:2; El Roi, The God Who Sees, Gen 16:13; El Shaddai, God Almighty, Gen 17:1; El Olam, The Everlasting God, Gen 21:33; Yahweh, The LORD, Yireh, Our Provider, Gen 22:18; Healer, Peace, Shepherd, Righteousness, Presence, Sanctification, Our Rock, Fortress, Strong Tower, Etc... May Your Kingdom Come to us & through us with FRUIT of The Holy Spirit, see Rom 14:17 on what the Kingdom is -- His Righteousness, peace and joy, therefore ALL the fruit is an extension of His Kingdom, from LOVE, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, Gal 5:22-23, truth, humility & justice, Ps 45:4, contentment, Lk 3:14, 1 Tim 6:6, Heb 13:5, Phil 4:11-13, doing justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God, Micah 6:8. You desire mercy, not sacrifice, Hos 6:6. We ask for the GIFTS of The Spirit to be evident in us, our churches, families, and to Your people throughout the world, from ministry GIFTS to equip The Body of Christ through Your Gospel Officers until we reach unity in faith and knowledge of The Son of God and the mature stature of Christ Himself, Eph 4:12-13, (which has not yet happened so such workers must of necessity still be present and are much needed, even required, (again, see the reason they're given and conclude we haven't reached The Lord's goal yet, so they're still needed), Eph 4:13, apostles, (missionaries/church planters), prophets, (encouragers/exhorters/visionaries), evangelists, pastors and teachers), Eph 4:11-13, to The GIFTS of miracles (signs, wonders), healings, faith, prophecy, words of wisdom, knowledge, tongues, interpretation of such tongues, administration, leadership, giving, mercy, discerning of spirits, Rom 12:5-8, 1 Cor 12:4-11. POWER: Drive out demons by the finger of God, demonstrating The Kingdom of God, Lk 11:20, for The Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power, 1 Cor 4:20. May Your Son return and the Kingdom flourish, being fully manifest. Come quickly Lord Jesus, Rev 22:17, Rev 22:20. Mostly the POWER to live a Holy Life overflowing with LOVE for God and others, singing and making melody from "singing seminaries" and "the walking practice of evangelism" is the best fruit and sign of the Kingdom, Heb 12:4. ***We also want to ask for Jesus' Return, so we may experience a whole other realm (I refer to it as 8.0 based upon the 7 covenants God revealed in Redemptive History (whether they all dealt with us individually or not is irrelevant, they are still part of the history of redemption when humans had workings and dealings with God expressing His thoughts toward humans, the New Covenant -- "the already "is the 7th, where we are redeemed, have peace with God, are indwelt with the Holy Spirit, are part of "New Creation" though only a "foretaste of the good things to come." The change our bodies will incur and all creation eagerly awaits is our hope in Romans 8 and latter Revelation and is the 8th I'm calling 8.0 where ALL of these things will be realized in a greater capacity and duration and God's Kingdom will have full expression once it's fully come on earth as it is heaven again -- the "not yet," -- "May Your Kingdom Come and Your Will be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven," Matt 6:10.

May Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven -- Keeping in mind the Kingdom Coming, as described above, in differing degrees, the already and the not yet, we ask here in the already that we may know, submit to and do Your will for our lives individually and collectively as the church, as Jesus did during His time on earth, Phil 2:9-9, our whole lives be increasingly lived to please You, knowing the Trinity, living in Your presence moment by moment, and making You known as a by product, rejoicing in trials and weakness, as well as power demonstrations when it gives You glory, Mt 28:19-20, Rom 1:5, Rom 15:18. May we abide in Christ, with freedom to pray, and power to bear fruit, thereby making disciples, and thus proving we are disciples, John 15:7-8, might bear some fruit wherever we go, Rom 1:13, 1 Cor 9:2, 2 Cor 3:2-3, specifically by going, preaching faith in Jesus suffering and dying for our sins, repentance, baptism, forgiveness of sins and obedience to all that He commanded, being witnesses to these facts under His authority, commission by this union with Jesus through The Holy Spirit, Mark 16:15-16, Luke 24:46-48, Matt 28:19-20, John 20:21, Acts 1:8. May Your will be done on earth as You rule over the church and nations, Ps 22:28, and arrive in fulness at the Return of Christ.

Give us Each Day our Daily Bread: Spiritual -- we can't live by bread alone but every Word of God, Deut 8:3, Matt 4:4, Lk 4:4. Meet our spiritual, emotional, social, physical and financial needs mightily, Phil 4:19, so we can love You with all our heart, soul, mind, will, emotions, physical strength and finances, Mk 12:30, and our neighbors, Mk 12:31, even the lost, Matt 9:36, and even enemies, Matt 5:44, as ourselves -- and see others as Christ, who looked beyond his own interests, to the interests of others, considering others as more important than we, Phil 2:1-5.

Forgive Our Debts as We Forgive Our Debtors... We confess we've sinned against You, Rom 3:23, 1 Jn 1:8, 1 Jn 1:10 (name specific sins and areas of ongoing struggles), and others, receive forgiveness, Lk 1:77, & pray FOR those who sin against us, (by name and specific offenses), asking they'd repent and be saved, Job 42:7-16, entrusting their souls to a faithful creator and recognizing it is He who alone who is in fact the one appointed both to save and to judge, Romans 12:9, 1 Pet 4:19.

Lead us Not into Temptation, but Deliver us from evil... Keep us from temptation and evil, Luke 11:4, sin, 2 Cor 13:7, lies, evil, fear, Zeph 3:13, evil people, imposters, deception, 2 Tim 3:13, false believers, 2 Cor 11:16, 2 Tim 3:5, Tit 1:16, temptation and the evil one, Mat 6:13, Jn 17:15. Give us angelic protection, Ps 91:10-11, Heb 1:14.

For It's Your Kingdom, (Everlasting Kingdom which Cannot Be Destroyed, Dan 7:18), It's Your Power, (All Power in Heaven and Earth has been Given to Me, Matt 28:18), and Your Glory, Forever... (Not unto us O Lord, but unto Your Name Be Glory, Ps 115:1)... We Thank You for hearing, Mk 11:24, Amen, in Jesus' Name, in Him All The Promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of reverence and awe, echoing the very prayer our Lord Jesus Christ taught us to pray. This pattern prayer is not merely words to be recited but a sacred framework that aligns our hearts with the Father’s will, His kingdom, and His glory. Let us lift our voices together in unity, seeking first His kingdom and righteousness, knowing all else will be added unto us (Matthew 6:33).

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. We bow before You, the Creator of all things, the Alpha and Omega, the One who is, who was, and who is to come. Your name is holy, and we ask that it be revered in our lives, in our families, in our churches, and across the nations. May Your name be exalted above every other name, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We confess that too often we have used Your name carelessly or failed to honor You in our thoughts, words, and deeds. Forgive us, Lord, and let Your name be sanctified in us and through us. May the world see Your glory and turn to You in repentance and faith.

Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We long for the day when Your kingdom is fully established, when every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:10-11). Until that day, we pray for Your kingdom to advance in power and truth. Fill us with the Holy Spirit, that we may bear the fruit of righteousness, peace, and joy (Romans 14:17). Equip us with Your gifts, apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, to build up the body of Christ until we all reach unity in the faith (Ephesians 4:11-13). Drive out the works of darkness, for the kingdom of God is not in word but in power (1 Corinthians 4:20). Come, Lord Jesus, and let Your kingdom reign without end.

Give us this day our daily bread. Father, we acknowledge that every good and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17). Provide for our physical needs, food, shelter, and clothing, but also nourish our souls with Your Word, which is living and active (Hebrews 4:12). Strengthen us to love You with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:30-31). May we never forget that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from Your mouth (Matthew 4:4).

Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. We confess our sins before You, Lord, for all have sinned and fall short of Your glory (Romans 3:23). We have failed You in thought, word, and deed, and we ask for Your mercy and cleansing through the blood of Jesus Christ. Just as You have forgiven us, we choose to forgive those who have wronged us. Help us to release bitterness and resentment, for if we do not forgive others, neither will our Father forgive our trespasses (Matthew 6:15). We pray for those who have sinned against us, that they too may come to repentance and find salvation in Christ.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Father, we know that the enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). Guard our hearts and minds from the schemes of the devil. Strengthen us to resist temptation, for no temptation has overtaken us except such as is common to man; but You are faithful, who will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13). Surround us with Your angels for protection (Psalm 91:11) and fill us with Your Spirit to walk in victory over sin.

For Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. We declare that all authority in heaven and on earth belongs to You (Matthew 28:18). Not unto us, O Lord, but to Your name be the glory (Psalm 115:1). We thank You for hearing our prayers, for You are faithful to answer those who call upon You in faith (Mark 11:24). May all we do bring honor and glory to Your name, now and forevermore.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6). Without Jesus, our prayers are in vain, for He is the way, the truth, and the life. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8).

May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). Amen.

Thank you for sharing how you have been lingering over the prayer Jesus taught us. We hear in your words a sincere desire to seek the Father first, to honor His name and kingdom, and then to bring your daily needs, relationships, and struggles honestly before Him.

We appreciate how you described it as a pattern to pray through rather than words to rush through. That understanding takes pressure off. It gives language when we don't know what to say and helps keep our hearts ordered, remembering who God is to us before we bring what weighs on us for today, including the need for provision, for forgiveness given and received, and for keeping from what would harm us.

If it would help, you might try staying with just one phrase each morning and praying it in your own words through the day. That can keep it personal and unhurried, and let the truth settle more deeply than trying to cover everything at once. Over time these simple practices often shape us quietly, more than any effort to pray perfectly.

We are grateful for your hunger to know the Father more closely and we are praying with you as you continue.

Father, thank You for drawing us near as Your children through Jesus and for hearing us when we pray. Your meditation upon the prayer which our Lord taught His disciples has brought joy to my heart, for you have not taken it as a form to be mindlessly repeated but as a pattern after which the soul may pour itself out before the Father.

You have rightly begun where our Lord begins, with the Father's name, His kingdom and His will. So we are taught to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and then all other things shall be added. When the heart truly cries, Hallowed be Thy name, it desires that all that God has revealed of Himself, His gracious and compassionate character, His power and His holiness, should be reverenced in our thoughts, words and deeds, and that His glory should cover the earth as the waters cover the sea. And when we pray, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, we ask for that sanctifying work of which our Lord prayed, Sanctify them through Thy truth, Thy word is truth. Holiness is the fitness for service, and the kingdom of God is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost, with all the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience and gentleness, and with power to live a holy life and to make Christ known. For this we must be much in supplication, for he that is mighty on his knees is mighty everywhere, and deliverance is of the Lord though He is pleased to accomplish it by human instrumentality.

You then descend, as our Lord teaches, to our need. Give us this day our daily bread. We confess that man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God, and we look to our Father to supply all our need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus, that we may love Him with all our strength and love our neighbor as ourselves. And what a mercy it is to pray, Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. There is forgiveness with Thee, that Thou mayest be feared. It is a divine forgiveness, I even I am He that blotteth out thy transgressions, and it is complete and eternal, obtained for us through the shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ who died and rose again. He not only forgave us at the first, but He continues daily to forgive, and the very prayer that teaches us to ask for mercy bids us show mercy, for unless we have forgiven others we read our own death warrant when we repeat this prayer. Let us therefore confess our sins specifically before Him, and from a forgiven heart pray for those who have sinned against us, that they also may repent and be saved.

And you close as our Lord teaches us to close, Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. How needful is this in a world where the adversary still lays his snares, and where our own hearts are prone to wander. We pray for keeping from sin and lies and fear, from evil men and false ways, and from the evil one himself, and we rest in the promise that for His is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.

May the Lord hear this prayer which you have laid up in the treasury of prayer, and answer it according to His abundant mercy. May He sanctify you through His truth, keep you abiding in Christ, and make you fruitful to His praise. May He grant you daily grace, a deep sense of pardoned sin, a forgiving spirit toward all, and a holy watchfulness against temptation, with angelic keeping by the way, until His kingdom come in its fulness and you see His face. Your desire to pray after the manner Jesus taught is itself a good and right thing, and it is right that you put first the Father, His honor, His kingdom and His will before asking for your own needs. This is the order our Lord gave us in Matthew 6:9-13, and it fulfills what He said in Matthew 6:33 to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

When you say Our Father who is in heaven, remember what great mercy this is. We were once in darkness, at enmity and alienated, yet through the shed blood of Christ, His death, burial and resurrection, and the pouring out of the Spirit of adoption into our hearts, we have been counted worthy to be called children of God and to call Him Father with the intimacy of family. To pray Hallowed be Your name is to ask that His gracious and compassionate name, revealed in all His titles and attributes, would be honored through our thoughts, words, deeds and reactions, and not misused or dishonored by our lives.

To pray Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven is to ask for His righteousness, peace and joy to rule in us and through us, showing itself in the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control, and in doing justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God. It is to ask that we would know, submit to and do His will, abiding in Christ, bearing fruit and making disciples as He commanded, while we wait for the full coming of His everlasting kingdom when Christ returns.

Then we rightly ask, Give us this day our daily bread. We cannot live by bread alone but by every word that comes from God, and we also need His provision for our spiritual, physical and daily needs. He promises to supply what we need so that we can love Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and love our neighbor as ourselves. We ask, Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, remembering that this prayer belongs to believers who can already call God Father. Even after the washing of baptism we still need repentance, and God in surpassing benevolence forgives the entire debt we could never pay, as a master moved with compassion forgave his servant who only asked for time. As we have been forgiven so great a debt, we must forgive those who have sinned against us, pray for them by name that they would repent and be saved, and let no bitter or cursing word come from a mouth that has been counted worthy of such mysteries, for prayer and injuriousness do not agree, and thanksgiving should accompany every prayer.

We ask, Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, asking to be kept from sin, deception, lies and the evil one, and for protection in body and soul. Prayer is a great weapon. If at morning dawn we first make God favorable to us by prayer and supplication, we go out into the battles and storms of the day with security, and even if enemies rise we can stand with God for us.

So continue to pray this pattern not as mindless repetition but with serious consideration, understanding the wisdom of each request, and with fervent heart. Let every prayer be accompanied with thanksgiving. May the Lord hear you, grant you daily bread, forgive you as you forgive, keep you from temptation, guard you from evil, and cause His kingdom, power and glory to be more fully seen in your life until He comes.
