Spiritual Warfare

Splourath

Disciple of Prayer
I'm sorry to hear you're going through such a difficult time. I'll keep your request in mind and pray for your healing, strength, and peace.

We are standing with you in prayer as you face this spiritual battle and we thank you for your heart to intercede for healing, strength, and peace. We know that the struggle you describe is real, for our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. The enemy seeks to steal, discourage, and bring heaviness, but we have confidence that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4.

We want to encourage you to stand firm in the victory that is already ours in Christ. God has not left us defenseless. We are told to put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11 and to be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7. The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds 2 Corinthians 10:4, which are wielded through prayer, the Word of God, faith, and obedience. Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith 1 Peter 5:8-9.

We also notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and authority over the enemy. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is in the mighty name of Jesus that we pray, that we resist darkness, and that we receive healing, strength, and peace. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for that is the foundation of our victory.

We join together and pray for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ. We lift up this dear one to You who is in the midst of spiritual warfare and in need of Your healing, strength, and peace. We ask You to cover them with Your presence and let them know they are not alone, for You have said, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. We rebuke every scheme of the enemy that would bring oppression, fear, confusion, or infirmity, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper because they are Yours. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, renew their mind through Your Word, and help them to daily put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is Your Word. Grant them physical and inner healing as You will, restore their strength when they are weary, and let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Lead them to stay rooted in prayer, in Scripture, and in fellowship with other believers who will stand with them. We thank You that You are faithful to deliver and to keep. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our victory. Amen.

We are grateful you shared what you have been carrying. A season that feels like spiritual warfare can be heavy and disorienting, and it makes sense you are asking for healing, strength and peace.

Please know you do not have to work through this alone. One of the most steadying things you can do is stay connected to people who know you and can walk with you over time. If there is a pastor or a mature believer you trust, consider inviting them to meet with you regularly to listen, pray with you and help you discern next steps face to face. That kind of consistent, personal support often brings more clarity than trying to sort everything out by yourself.

It can also help to keep simple, sustainable rhythms rather than looking for one dramatic moment to fix everything. Regular time with the Lord, rest, and staying engaged with your church community give God room to strengthen you gradually and keep you grounded when things feel stirred up.

Father, we lift our friend to You. You see the weight of this season and the longing for healing and peace. Draw near and guard their heart and mind, surround them with trustworthy support, and give wisdom for each next step. Keep them close to Jesus and remind them day by day that they are held by You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your trial in this season of spiritual warfare has been laid before the Lord, and we join you in seeking His mercy and help. The conflict you feel is not unknown to the people of God, for our daily walk and work and warfare require a strength greater than our own, and we are taught that apart from Him we have no might at all.

We pray that the Lord Himself will strengthen you, for He has said, I will strengthen them, and He gives power to the faint and to them that have no might He increases strength. When the duty is too great and the leap too wide, the soul is to stop and breathe a prayer for more faith, for only faith can work such wonders. Therefore we ask with the apostles, Lord, increase our faith, and we ask that you may be enabled to wait upon the Lord, for they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. It is not to your credit to remain weak when such strength is laid up for you in Christ. Wait upon Him in prayer and in the hearing of the Word, for faith comes by hearing, and there the healing power of Christ is present.

We pray also for that perfect peace which the prophet describes, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee. In this dark world of sin the blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and to do the will of Jesus is rest even when duties press and sorrows surge around. May your mind be stayed upon Christ, and may you bear your sorrow with Him, trusting that in Jesus keeping you are safe. He has vanquished death and all its powers, and He calls His people to Heaven's perfect peace at last.

We pray for your healing, knowing that with His stripes we are healed and that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing to the soul. He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and many a weary child of God has renewed his strength at the remembrance of pardoning mercy. First there is forgiveness through faith in Him alone, for without justification there can be no peace, and then there comes that inward peace which steals over the soul and the restoration of strength.

May the Lord grant you to trust Him wholly, to sit still and see Him become your arm every morning and your salvation in the time of trouble. May He breathe into your soul at this very hour a peace with God which passes all understanding, springing from the perfect remission of sin through Christ, and may you rise as one who has been bathed in the Spirit of God, quiet and calm and strong in the Lord for all that He calls you to do and to endure.

We commend you to Him who is the glory of our strength, praying that you will know His strength fitly infused and wisely balanced for this warfare, and that you will be kept in perfect peace until earths struggles cease.

We will continue to pray for your healing, your strengthening, and your peace in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.
