We hear your cry for deliverance and stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have victory over the powers of darkness. Since you have turned away from the new age, where deception and false spirits reign, you are now in a spiritual battle, but take heart: the battle is not yours alone, but the Lord’s. The enemy seeks to wear you down, to make you weary, and to draw you back into bondage, but we declare that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
The new age is a counterfeit, a system that exalts self, promotes false light, and opens doors to demonic influence. You have done the right thing by leaving it, but the enemy does not give up his grip easily. He will use fear, confusion, oppression, and even physical symptoms to try to break your faith. But we rebuke every lying spirit, every spirit of heaviness, every spirit of torment, and every assignment of the enemy against you in Jesus’ name. The Word of God tells us, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). You are not fighting flesh and blood, but principalities and powers, and the weapons of your warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4).
We also want to gently remind you that spiritual warfare is not fought in your own strength. If you have not already, we encourage you to renounce every involvement with new age practices, meditation, energy work, spirit guides, crystals, astrology, or any other occult activity, out loud, in the name of Jesus. These things give the enemy legal ground, and they must be broken. The Bible warns, "There shall not be found among you anyone who... practices divination, or a soothsayer, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord" (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). If you have dabbled in these things, confess it as sin, ask for forgiveness, and command every ungodly spirit to leave you in Jesus’ name.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the Name that is above every name. We lift up our sister/brother who is under spiritual attack after turning away from the new age. Lord, we thank You for drawing them to Yourself and for their desire to walk in truth. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We break every curse, every hex, every spell, and every assignment of the enemy against them in Jesus’ name. We cancel every word spoken over them in the occult realm and declare that they are covered by the blood of Jesus.
Lord, we ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in Your peace and not in fear. Strengthen their faith, renew their mind with Your Word, and surround them with Your angels. We command every spirit of oppression, depression, confusion, and torment to flee right now in Jesus’ name. We declare that they are a child of God, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6). No evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10).
Father, we ask that You lead them to a solid, Bible-believing church where they can grow in faith and be discipled. Surround them with godly believers who can stand with them in prayer and encouragement. Teach them to wield the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word, and to put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18). Remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We also ask that You reveal to them any areas where the enemy may still have a foothold, any unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or lingering ties to the occult. Give them the courage to renounce these things completely and to walk in the light as You are in the light (1 John 1:7). We pray for healing, spirit, soul, and body, from any damage caused by the enemy’s attacks. Restore to them the joy of Your salvation and uphold them with Your righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10).
Lord, we thank You that the battle is already won. Jesus disarmed principalities and powers and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2:15). We declare that our sister/brother is more than a conqueror through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37). We seal this prayer with the blood of Jesus and declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We bless them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Do not grow weary in this fight, dear one. The enemy wants you to feel alone, but you are not. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Spend time in His Word, for it is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Worship Him, for the enemy cannot stand in the presence of praise. And remember, "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still" (Exodus 14:14). You are stepping into a new season of freedom, and we stand with you in faith until the victory is fully manifested.

So while we ask God to bring an end to this season, we gently encourage you to take a practical step: make sure every door to that former life is firmly shut. That might mean discarding any objects, books, or music tied to New Age practices, and verbally renouncing in prayer any vows, allegiances, or “gifts” you once welcomed. You don’t have to live in fear of objects, but a clean, deliberate break often brings surprising peace.
Beyond that, we hope you have a trusted Christian friend or pastor who can pray with you in person, someone who can stand with you without dramatizing the darkness. There is strength in letting others carry your tired prayers for a while.

Your turning from the snares of the new age is no small victory, and it is no marvel that the enemy now rages against you. When the diseased limb is being cut off, the body convulses; when a mutinous soldier is expelled, the camp roars. This warfare you feel is not a sign of defeat but of your flight from darkness. Do not mistake the commotion of battle for the loss of the war. The serpent hisses loudest when his prey escapes.
Yet understand this: the peace you long for is not the peace of a sleeping city, but the peace that comes when rebellion is crushed. There is a false concord that robbers share, a harmony of the pit that Christ came to shatter with a sword. The tower of Babel had one tongue, but it defied heaven; their unity was worse than any war. So the ceasing of outward trouble is not always peace. The true peace is the union of your soul with God, and that is won by continuing to sever every tie to the old deceits, not by seeking a truce with them.
Are you weary? So was Israel in the wilderness, yet they were nearer the land of promise than when they danced around the calf. The demon who cannot hold you by deception will try to wear you by assault. But remember, the warfare from within our own ranks, the thoughts and memories that rise up, these are often more perilous than the arrows from without. Stand firm in the company of the faithful; let not the divisions of your own heart find a foothold. For the God of love and peace delights in order, in holiness, in the cutting off of that which corrupts. He does not merely give a passing calm, but Himself is your peace, if you will be of one mind with His will and live in that holiness without which no one shall see the Lord.
Therefore, do not gaze constantly at the storm. Fix your eyes upon the Captain who has already overcome. The mercy-seat of old promised earthly truces, but the Gospel opens heaven. Your prayer is heard, not because the battle instantly ceases, but because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. Let your spirit rejoice that you have been counted worthy to suffer these buffetings for departing from deceit. The very attack is a proof that you are no longer on the enemy’s side. Persevere, and the God of peace will bruise Satan under your feet shortly.

The exhaustion you feel right now is not a sign that you have made a wrong move. It is the friction of a very real transfer of kingdoms. When you stepped away from the new age, you walked out from under a dark covering, and the spiritual forces that once had a foothold do not release their ground without protest. The warfare you are experiencing is not random misfortune or bad luck. It is a direct assault against your mind and your peace, precisely because your spirit has been made alive in Christ. You have moved from death to life, and the enemy hates that. So the battle is not against flesh and blood; it is against spiritual entities that rage against the light now in you.
Do not let weariness convince you that you are losing. The very fact that the struggle persists is evidence that you are in the right fight. But you must fight with the right weapons. Human strategies, sheer willpower, positive thinking, or going back to old rituals, are carnal, and they will fail you here. This is a spiritual war, and God has given you spiritual weapons, mighty through Him for pulling down strongholds. The Word of God, spoken aloud and hidden in your heart, is a sword that cuts through deception. Faith, even as small as a mustard seed, clings to the finished work of Jesus and refuses to let go. And prayer, persistent and honest prayer, is often the deciding factor. When you pray, you are not just sending up words; you are actively engaging in the battle, setting a shield around your mind. Pour out your exhaustion to the Lord without pretense, and then use His truth to speak directly against the lies that whisper you are trapped or that this will never end.
The primary frontline of this war is your mind. Your fleshly thoughts and the old patterns from the new age will try to reassert themselves, but you are now a spiritual person, born again by the Spirit of God. That old self was crucified with Christ. You are a new creation, and the enemy cannot occupy ground that you refuse to give him. When thoughts of fear, condemnation, or temptation to return to familiar darkness arise, recognize them as fiery darts and quench them with the shield of faith. Abstain from entertaining those fleshly lusts that war against your soul. Starve the old attractions by feeding on the sincere milk of the Word, growing in spiritual maturity. The past no longer defines you; you are part of a whole new race of people, united with every child of God. The things that once held you are being stripped of their power.
Remember too that this present struggle is not forever. There is a day coming, beyond anything we can now fully grasp, when the Lord will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things, the new age practices, the spiritual fatigue, every dark memory, will not be remembered or brought to mind. We do not yet walk in that final reality, but we live in its sure hope. What politicians or worldly systems promise as a golden age is a hollow imitation. Your true King will establish a kingdom where righteousness dwells and every spiritual enemy is utterly dissolved. Until then, do not be lured back by a false peace that the world offers. You left your first love for a time by chasing those shadows, but He has drawn you back. Remain in that renewed love, and do not neglect the simple devotion to Christ that first captured your heart.
