Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. 💔 I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My dad who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Please also pray for a close friend who has fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems, prostate concerns and asthma. Please pray that God would mercifully allow me to end up back with my boyfriend and lead him out of false teachings. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in spiritual battle, lifting every burden before the throne of grace. The warfare you describe is real, and the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life, and life abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every assignment of darkness against you in the name of Jesus. The dreams, the oppression, the relentless attacks, we command them to cease. The Word declares, "The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). We take authority over every spirit of fear, torment, and perversion, binding them and casting them out in Jesus’ name.

Your struggle with sexual temptation is not uncommon, but it is not to be tolerated. The enemy exploits weakness, but God provides a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). We pray for your deliverance from these thoughts, that you would take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). You are not defined by your failures, Jesus bore your shame on the cross. Confess this sin, repent, and receive His forgiveness. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Do not let guilt keep you in bondage; walk in the freedom Christ purchased for you.

Your exhaustion is palpable, and we pray for divine rest. The Lord invites you: "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). We ask God to order your steps, to give you wisdom in your work, and to open doors for provision. If two jobs are needed, we pray for favor and strength to manage them without burnout. But we also caution you, do not let work become an idol or an escape from spiritual warfare. Seek first God’s kingdom, and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33).

Regarding your desire to reconcile with your boyfriend, we must speak truth in love. If this relationship is not founded on Christ, if it leads you into sin or distracts you from God’s will, it is not of the Lord. Marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, and any relationship outside of God’s design will bring heartache. We pray for your discernment, that you would not be unequally yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14). If this man is not a believer, or if he is leading you away from truth, we urge you to surrender this desire to God. His plans for you are good, and He may have someone far better prepared for you, a godly spouse who will lead you closer to Christ.

We lift up your family’s health, praying for healing from the flu and protection for those caring for you. "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers" (3 John 1:2). For your cats, we ask the Lord, who cares even for the sparrows, to bring comfort and healing. We pray for your friend with chronic illnesses, that God would strengthen him and give him peace in the midst of suffering.

Lastly, we address the mention of false teachings in the African American community. We pray for a revival of truth, that the church would be grounded in Scripture and reject any doctrine that contradicts God’s Word. The enemy seeks to deceive, but the Holy Spirit leads into all truth (John 16:13).

We pray now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother, lifting every weight and burden. We declare that he is not a victim but a victor in Christ. Break every chain of spiritual warfare, silence every lying dream, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Deliver him from temptation, Lord, and restore his purity. Give him wisdom in his work, rest in his soul, and healing in his body. Protect his family, his pets, and his friend. And Father, we ask for Your will to be done in his relationships, if this boyfriend is not Your plan, remove the desire and replace it with Your perfect peace. If he is to be married, prepare a godly spouse for him. Strengthen his faith, deepen his walk with You, and let him know that he is never alone. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We hear the sheer weight of everything you’ve laid out, and we’re sitting with you in it, not rushing past the exhaustion or the shame you’re carrying. You’ve named so many pressures, but what stood out was your honesty about the sexual thoughts and the depression underneath them. That you can see the connection (“I think because I’m struggling with depression right now, I’m using those thoughts as an outlet”) is actually a grace. It doesn’t minimize the sin, but it helps you look at the root instead of just the symptom. Shame will tell you to hide; healing invites you to let a trusted Christian counselor or pastor walk with you through the depression and find healthier, lasting comfort. You don’t have to fight this alone in the dark while falling asleep.

When those thoughts press in at night, rather than white-knuckling your way out, try simply turning your mind toward Christ in a quiet, simple prayer, not a long one, just “Jesus, have mercy on me” breathed over and over. It’s a small step that reminds you He is near, even when you feel overwhelmed.

We join you in praying for all these concerns, for your cats’ healing and provision for their care, for your dad and family to recover fully from the flu, for wise decisions about your jobs and a schedule that gives you rest. For your friend’s many health struggles, we ask for God’s mercy and endurance. And for the man you mentioned, we ask God to lead him out of false teachings and into truth, and to give you clear wisdom and a single-hearted desire for His best, whatever that looks like.

Lord Jesus, you see this beloved child, worn down by spiritual attack, shame, depression, and endless demands. Please grant deep rest, clear direction, and healing in body and mind. Surround them with safe, wise support. Protect the pets and the sick. Restore what has been lost and quiet the noise of the enemy. In your strong name, Jesus, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The weight of your soul’s trouble is heard, and the Lord who inclined His ear to the groaning of Israel in Egypt bends low to your cry. Yet let me speak plainly, as one who desires your eternal good far more than your present ease. You say the enemy has targeted you since youth with warfare and dark dreams, and I tell you, the blessed Seed of the woman has been bruised in His heel that He might crush the serpent’s head. Look away from the turmoil to Him who gave His back to the smiters, His cheeks to them that plucked off the hair, and hid not His face from shame and spitting. All the merit you need to silence the accuser is in that voluntary shame He bore. Your temptations, your unclean thoughts that flood you as you lie down, are not greater than the cleansing stream that flowed from His riven side. But mark this: you cannot cherish the sin and expect the victory. You say you keep giving in, and sorrow over it. That sorrow, if it brings true shame, is a mercy, for it is written, “Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek thy name, O Lord.” Let that shame drive you not to hide from God, but to flee with desperate grip to the cross. There, every vile imagination was laid on Him. Quit making excuses about depression as an outlet; rather, cry out, “Lord, I am vile, but Thy blood cleanseth! Give me a holy hatred of this indulgence, and make me chaste in thought as in a temple of the Holy Ghost.”

Concerning the man you call your boyfriend and the false teachings that hold him: I dare not bid you seek to be reunited with one who walks in darkness while you profess to walk in the light. What fellowship hath light with darkness? You must not be unequally yoked. If you desire his salvation, labour for it on your knees, but do not stitch your heart to one who may prove a snare. God lead you into no path that dishonours His royal law of purity and wisdom. If God should mercifully pluck him as a brand from the burning, and he comes forth a new creature, then and only then may you consider whether it be His will. Until then, hold fast to Christ alone.

You are overwhelmed, tugged at by every hand, and long to be left alone. Remember, the Master Himself sought the solitary place to pray, yet He gave Himself for others. Your life is not your own. Still, the Lord who appoints the bounds of our habitation also appoints our labour. Ask for wisdom to order your days, and believe that He who opens doors no man can shut will guide you into right employment. Cast your burden on Him; He will not suffer the righteous to be moved. If He sends two jobs, He will give strength. If He call you to stay, He will mend the hard places.

For the sickness in your household, the flu that has laid you low, and the infirmities of your friend, Jesus still walketh among the candlesticks with healing in His wings. Plead the promise of James, believing that the prayer of faith shall save the sick. As for the poor creatures that share your home, the little cats that ail, even these are not beneath the Father’s notice. His tender mercies are over all His works.

Your shame over past falls, your fear of dishonouring God afresh, bring it all to the light of heaven. There, the reproach of earth seems less than nothing. He has said, “I am the Lord that healeth thee.” Let your diet, your sleep, your discipline be offered up as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable. Fight the malady of slothful daydreaming by filling the mind with Scripture, for an idle mind is the devil’s workshop. And when the evil suggestion comes at the gate of sleep, cry aloud in thy heart, “I am not my own; I am bought with a price. Create in me a clean heart, O God!”

Finally, you ask for the African American community to be loosed from false teaching. This is a godly petition. Pray on, for the truth as it is in Jesus alone shatters every yoke of error. The glorious liberty of the children of God is proclaimed without money and without price. Let no man think to win freedom by his own merits or to keep it by his own strength; the blood of the everlasting covenant alone achieves it. And where that freedom comes, no chain of the old man, no frowning circumstance, can make the soul a slave. Stand fast, therefore, in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with any yoke of bondage. The Lord lift up the light of His countenance upon you, and give you peace. Amen.

You speak of spiritual warfare that has hounded you since youth, of dreams that disturb and exhaust you, and of a life so crowded that you can scarcely breathe. This is the very battlefield where the faithful are forged. Do not think it strange that the enemy presses so hard. Remember that from the beginning, temptations and plots attend those who belong to Christ. Look at His own mother fleeing with the infant Lord, at the apostles enduring countless dangers. This is the order of all things spiritual: to have temptations as our constant companions. Yet God does not abandon us. He permits these trials not to crush us, but to draw us ever closer to Himself. As an affectionate father sometimes allows a threat to arise so that his child will flee back to his arms, so does God at times hold out fears that we may run to Him and abide there.

When the onslaught feels unbearable, cling to the promise: no temptation has seized you except what is common to humanity, and God is faithful. He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, but with the temptation will also make a way of escape. That way is not idleness or giving in; it is the earnest cry of your heart to the Deliverer. In the very midst of the flaming arrows, He gives patience and brings a swift release. Your struggle with shameful thoughts and maladaptive daydreaming, especially as you seek sleep, is a bitter wrestling against the spiritual hosts of wickedness. Yet the body is not evil; it can become a weapon of righteousness. Flee to God in that drowsy hour. Do not entertain the images even for a moment, but turn your mind to prayer, to a psalm, to any holy word. The enemy intensifies his attack because he sees you drawing near to liberty. Do not despair because you have stumbled again. The warfare is not over; the Commander stands by you, unconquered and ever ready to strengthen you if you will only obey and take up the armor He provides.

You feel overwhelmed, every moment filled with demands. This is the hard press of a good warfare. Even the Apostle trembled at times, sending Timothy out of deep love and concern, though he knew the Thessalonians were appointed to afflictions. It is no sin to be wearied; it is the occasion to cast yourself anew on the God who sustains the weary. Ask not for the ease that comes from the devil, but for a contrite and humble heart, sober and watchful. That is God’s gift, and it will make you able to endure.

In your practical cares, do not lose heart. Whether you keep your present jobs or seek another, seek wisdom from the Lord who gives generously to those who ask without doubting. Bring order to your days, not by anxious planning, but by entrusting your schedule to Him who numbers our steps. The late nights, the sick household, even the tender concern for your beloved cats, all these can be lifted up as a sacrifice of prayer. God cares for every creature, and your compassion pleases Him. As you tend your diet with discipline, see it as a small training ground for the soul. The same self-mastery you need in the body is needed to quell the fires of lust.

For your friend and for your family, I groan with you. Sickness in so many members is a heavy load. Let your prayers be persistent: though He delays, He is contriving that you persevere. And for your deepest plea, the ache concerning your boyfriend, hear what a heart of spiritual solicitude would say. You ask that God would lead him out of false teaching and restore your bond. Pray indeed for his deliverance from error, for that is a good and godly request. But concerning your relationship, I urge you to test it against the pattern of Christ. If it is not a covenant walking toward the holy estate of marriage as God designed, be willing to lay it before the altar. Do not cling to a bond that does not honor His commandments. Let your desire be swallowed up in a greater love: that both of you would stand blameless before the Bridegroom of the Church. Entrust your sorrow to Him, and seek purity with your whole heart.

The night is far spent; the day is at hand. Cast off the dark imaginings, the deep slumber of this life. Christ will make a way of escape, and you will find that He is faithful. Stand fast, persevere in prayer, and do not let go of the hem of His garment.

I hear the weight of so many burdens pressing in on you, and I want you to know that the Lord is not distant from your cries. The ancient cry of Job echoes with the same terrors you describe, visions in the deep night, fear and trembling, a spirit passing that made his hair stand on end. The enemy has always sought to trouble minds and afflict sleep, but Jesus has complete authority over every power of darkness. I pray that the peace which comes from His presence would quiet your dreams and disperse the shadows that haunt you.

You are ashamed of the sexual thoughts returning, but healing is often a gradual work. The only incremental healing recorded in the Gospels was still fully divine. Jesus does not despise your struggle; He bore your infirmities. When you feel weakest, especially while falling asleep, cry out to Him. He knows how depression can drive us toward false comforts, yet He offers His own rest to our weary minds. The enemy may try to increase the temptation in your exhaustion, but the Spirit inside you is stronger.

I notice you are pulled in every direction, with people always wanting something from you. Jesus Himself had crowds pressing in constantly, and He felt their need deeply. Yet He often withdrew alone to pray. Your longing to be left alone is not selfish; it is a necessary rhythm. Ask Him to bring order to your schedule and to teach you when to step away. Even in the rush, He can grant you moments of stillness.

The question of your jobs is not too small for His care. I have walked through long seasons where more than one job was necessary, and the Lord supplied through honest work. He may lead you to stay or to go, but you can trust that He sees your financial needs and will not abandon you. You do not have to rely merely on the goodwill of others, because your Father is abundantly wealthy and delights to provide for His children out of His own riches.

Your whole family is sick, your cats scratch themselves raw, your friend suffers a long list of ailments, and you have no funds for a vet. The One who watches every sparrow sees each creature and each body. I do not pretend to understand why some are healed quickly and others are not, or why some have prolonged affliction. Healing rests in God’s sovereign hands, and it is no sign of weak faith when you plead for mercy without seeing immediate change. Still, I join you in praying for your father’s cough to ease, for the cats to remain healthy, for your friend to find relief, and for your own body to be steadied to follow the diet your condition requires. The divine process of healing often works through what we call ordinary means, and I ask Him to strengthen and restore in ways only He can.

You carry a burden for the African American community to be set free from false teachings, and for your boyfriend to leave those errors behind. Every generation must be reached with the unspoiled gospel, and that urgency begins with prayer. I lift him before the Lord, asking that the truth would break through every deception and bring him into a right understanding of Jesus. I am not praying simply for a return to the old relationship on your terms, but for God’s perfect will in both your lives. Surrender that outcome to the One who knows what is best, and ask Him to guard your own heart in purity while you wait.

Do not look only at your own needs; remember that the mind of Christ is to look also to the needs of others, yet this does not mean you must be crushed by every demand. Pour out your overwhelm before the throne, and let Him carry what you cannot. He has power over every realm, physical, material, spiritual, and He is able to bring you through every battle. May He settle your spirit, break the enemy’s attacks, grant you wisdom, and cover you with His compassionate mercy until you stand firm again.
