Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. 💔 I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My dad who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Please also pray for a close friend who has fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems, prostate concerns and asthma. Thank you.

We stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who has already triumphed over every power of darkness. The spiritual warfare you describe is real, but it is not greater than the authority we have in Christ. We take up the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The enemy has no right to harass you, especially since your youth, this is not the inheritance of a child of God. We rebuke every assignment of the devil against your mind, your dreams, and your life in Jesus’ name. The Lord says, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly" (John 10:10). We claim that abundant life for you today.

Your vivid and disturbing dreams are not from God. Scripture tells us that God speaks to us in dreams, but these are dreams of peace, not torment (Numbers 12:6, Job 33:14-15). The enemy seeks to wear you down through fear and exhaustion, but we declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray that the Lord would give you restful, peaceful sleep, free from the enemy’s interference. We also pray for wisdom in your schedule, may the Lord order your steps and help you to prioritize what truly matters. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). You are not meant to carry this load alone; Jesus invites you to cast your cares upon Him.

The overwhelming demands from others are a tactic to drain you, but we pray that the Lord would give you discernment to set healthy boundaries. You are not called to be everyone’s savior, only Jesus holds that role. We pray that God would provide for your needs, including the financial provision for your pets. The Lord cares even for the sparrows, and He certainly cares for your beloved cats (Matthew 10:29-31). We ask Him to guide you to resources, whether through a kind veterinarian, a low-cost clinic, or even a divine provision you haven’t yet seen. We also lift up your family’s health, praying for complete healing from the flu and protection for those caring for you. "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers" (3 John 1:2).

Now, we must address the sexual sin you’ve confessed with such sorrow. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1), but there is also no excuse for continuing in sin. The enemy is indeed increasing temptation, but we serve a God who provides a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). The shame you feel is not from God, it is the enemy’s lie to keep you trapped. But Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). We pray that you would flee from these temptations, as Scripture commands (1 Corinthians 6:18), and that the Lord would renew your mind with His truth. Confess this sin to Him, receive His forgiveness, and walk in the freedom He died to give you. We also pray against maladaptive daydreaming, which can be a form of escapism that feeds into sin. May the Lord redirect your thoughts to what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8).

Regarding your jobs, we pray for wisdom and clarity. If the Lord is leading you to stay, we ask Him to resolve the issues with your coworkers and bring peace to your workplace. If He is calling you elsewhere, we pray for open doors and favor in finding new employment, whether one job or two. "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this" (Psalm 37:5). We also lift up your friend with fibromyalgia, thalassemia, and other health struggles. May the Lord strengthen him, ease his pain, and guide his doctors to the right treatments.

Finally, we pray for the African American community to be set free from false teachings. May the true Gospel of Jesus Christ take root, bringing salvation, healing, and deliverance. "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). We declare that the light of Christ will expose every deception and draw hearts to the truth.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name. We thank You that You are our refuge, our strength, and our deliverer. Lord, we ask You to break every chain of spiritual warfare over [this individual’s] life. Silence the enemy’s voice in their dreams and fill their mind with Your peace. Give them rest, both physically and spiritually. We rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and lust, and we command them to flee in Jesus’ name.

Father, we ask You to heal [this individual] from depression and fill them with Your joy. Help them to resist temptation and flee from sexual sin. Renew their mind with Your Word and give them the strength to walk in purity. We pray for their family’s healing from the flu and for their pets to be restored to health. Provide for their needs, Lord, including wisdom for their job situation and financial provision.

We ask You to set boundaries in their life so they are not overwhelmed by the demands of others. Give them discipline in their schedule, their diet, and their thought life. We lift up their friend with chronic illness, asking for Your healing touch. And we pray for the African American community to know the truth of Your Word and walk in the freedom of Christ.

Lord, we declare that [this individual] is not a victim but a victor in You. Strengthen them, encourage them, and remind them that You are always with them. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We hear your exhaustion and see the heavy load you’re carrying. With so many things pressing in, it’s no wonder you feel like you just want to be left alone. We’re praying for you right now.

The shame you feel about the sexual thoughts can feel isolating, but please don’t let it drive you away from God. He knows our frame and remembers we are dust. When the thoughts come at night, try speaking a simple prayer aloud: “Jesus, fill my mind with Yourself.” You might also play a quiet worship song or hum a hymn. It’s not about white‑knuckling but surrendering your imagination to Christ one moment at a time.

Because you’re so overwhelmed, we’d encourage one small habit: pick a gentle, non‑negotiable wind‑down time each evening. Even going to bed fifteen minutes earlier can help break the cycle of late nights and give your spirit some breathing room. In depression, every step feels huge, be patient with yourself.

For your jobs, we join you in asking for wisdom. As you weigh staying, maybe consider what drains you most and what gives you life, and ask God to show you one small change you could request or implement. He cares about those details.

We’re also praying for your ###, your cats, your friend, and your whole household. You are not alone.

Lord Jesus, we ask for a shield of peace around our friend tonight. Calm their heart, silence the enemy’s whispers, and guard their sleep from disturbing dreams. Break the power of shame and wash their mind with Your purity. Grant discernment about work, healing for their body and loved ones, and provision for their needs. In this depression, let them feel Your nearness, a steady anchor in the storm. We ask all this in Your strong name, Amen.

The prayer that God would lead you not into temptation is a holy and needful petition, but beware lest you pray it with your lips while your feet carry you into the very snare from which you ask deliverance. You speak of maladaptive daydreaming and unclean thoughts that assail you especially as you seek sleep, and you confess with sorrow that you give in to them. Hear the plain truth: “Never go into temptation. The man who prays ‘Lead us not into temptation,’ and then goes into it, is a liar before God!” The enemy knows well how to ply his trade upon the pinnacle of your weariness and depression, yet you must not yield the citadel of your mind. God is able to work moral and spiritual transformations; what was broken He can restore, and the chains that seem riveted afresh can be shattered by the hammer of His grace. But you must flee the first thought, cry out to Christ in the very moment of assault, and fill your mind with the sweet honey of His Word, for “Jesus Christ is, in Himself, sweeter than the honeycomb,” and only a spiritual appetite for Him will drive out the foul cravings of the flesh.

You long to be left alone, yet you are surrounded by duties and demands. This too is a temptation, a weariness that seeks escape in the false rest of sin. The spiritual life is not sustained by escaping trial but by drawing near to Christ in the midst of it. “The best way of obtaining a renewal of spiritual strength is by getting near to Christ, and staying near to Him!” Your late nights, your dreams, your overwhelmed heart, all these speak of a soul that hungers for the living bread yet often feeds on husks. Go to Him, not merely with a list of requests, but with the empty hands of a beggar. Pray that He would quicken you again by His Spirit, for “every man that is born into the world is dead spiritually, and spiritual life must be given by the Holy Spirit.” The depression that darkens your mind is not beyond His reach; He who commanded light to shine out of darkness can bring peace where there is now turmoil.

I hear your cries for your earthly cares, your family’s illness, your cats, your work, your diet. Cast these upon the Lord, for He careth for you. Yet do not let the lesser things crowd out the one thing needful. “The scarcest thing in the whole world is true spiritual light,” and you need it desperately. As for your friend’s many ailments, tell him to look not to physicians alone but to the Great Physician who heals body and soul. And for the African American community entangled in false teaching, pray without ceasing that God would send laborers with the pure gospel; none are delivered from error but by the truth as it is in Jesus.

Remember, the promise is that God will strengthen the whole spiritual constitution of His people. He will not leave you to fight alone. “I will strengthen them in the Lord; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the Lord.” Rise, then, from the dust of despondency, put on the whole armor of God, and stand. Do not entertain the thought that your sin is inevitable because of your weariness; rather, see it as the precise point where the Spirit’s power is made perfect in weakness. Pray for wisdom about your employment, but seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. May the Lord grant you a holy discipline in your eating and your sleeping, and may your dreams be filled with the peace that passeth understanding. Go forward, not in your own strength, but leaning hard upon the Beloved, and you shall find that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The weight you carry is not hidden from the One who permits these trials for your strengthening. When you say the enemy has targeted you since youth, I hear the echo of the Apostle who was given a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet him. He sought deliverance and obtained it not, for the benefit was greater than the ease. This is not a cold dismissal of your pain. It is the recognition that souls under assault are souls Christ pursues with jealous love. The vivid dreams, the relentless demands, the late nights that steal your rest, these are the very things that drive you to the refuge of prayer. Do you not see? When the tempter presses, when the thoughts rush in like a flood, these are precisely the moments the soul learns to cry out. The faithful God will not suffer you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make a way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

That shame you feel, the sadness over falling into old sins, is itself a mercy. The heart that plunges into sexual thoughts without sorrow is the heart truly lost. But you are grieved. You see the connection to your depression, using the imagination as an opiate against weariness. This is the moment to stand, not crouch in despair. When drowsiness comes and the mind drifts toward those images, rise, even for a moment. Shake off the soft lure of the bed and cry out, even if the cry is silent and brief. The enemy increases the pressure because he senses you near a boundary of freedom. He would not trouble you so fiercely if you were securely his. Can a mere mental image bring lasting peace? The pleasure passes beyond the palate and the tongue of the mind, leaving behind distension and a sleep like death. You have known deliverance before; the Hand that broke the chain once has not grown short.

Your overwhelmed state, the sense that every five seconds brings a new burden, is the common road of those determined to follow Christ in a world that pulls them in every direction. That longing to be left alone is natural to the weary soul, but see in it a temptation also. For God often permits the crowd of annoyances to press in, that we might flee for refuge to His bosom. When the children are frightened, they run to the mother. Likewise, we learn that true rest is not in the absence of people but in the presence of God. As for your work, wisdom is granted by this very need that forces you to your knees. Ask Him to make plain whether to stay or go. The peace that exceeds all understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, making the uncertain path sure step by step. That peace can even guard the relationships with your coworkers, mending what is frayed.

Lift your father, yourself, your entire household before the Physician of souls and bodies. He who made the body is not at a loss for remedies, even when money fails and good vets are unknown. The groanings of your cats and the cough of your father are not too small for His notice. And carry your friend with the fibromyalgia and blood conditions as one carries a paralyzed man to the roof, persistent in intercession.

Do not neglect the discipline of your diet for the body’s sake, not out of fear, but as a stewardship of the vessel God has given you for this season. And pray for the community you name, that the veil of false teaching might be lifted. The Lord who sustained martyrs will sustain your small obediences. Stand fast. The warfare is not a sign of defeat but a mark of the kingdom advancing against the strongholds. The way of escape is already being prepared in the midst of it.
